2 parts - Coronado Springs and Riverside

Does anyone know if Coronado Springs is still under construction? I remember reading about it from all you guys and wasn't sure if it was done.

Also, if you had to choose between CS or POR, which would you choose? We're strongly taking a trip at the end of August and those are probably our two most realistic choices. They both look pretty online, and I like a place with a bit of theme (we first stayed at POFQ but I really loved Caribbean Beach for the feel) so I'm not sure which to go with!

The rehab was delayed and will start later this year but I would still choose CSR.

Haven't stayed at CSR but have at POFQ (1) and PORS (3) Love the fact you can sail down the Sassagoula river to DS...And the food court at PORS is awesome...The only thing that put me off CSR was it can be used for conventions...Is that still the case.?

Yes, CSR is still used for conventions. I would--and have--choose Port Orleans over CSR.

We have stayed at CSR multiple times and really the whole convention thing is a real red herring. It is a lovely resort and not as big as people make out.
We will be experiencing POR in 5 days time so will be able to give a comparison soon.

Have you requested any building...Mansions or Aligator Bayou.?...I know that Parterre Place ( stayed there twice ) and Oak Manor are now royal rooms..But loved Magnolia just as much..We used the main bus depot most of the time...I'm pretty sure you will love the laid back atmosphere and the beautiful grounds...P.S...I must be one of the very few people that ain't a fan of Yee Haw Bob...Yes he's talented on the piano..Yes he's great with entertaining the kids ( and adults ) ..But just not my cup of tea..I used to love the dude at French Quarter ( think his name was Dyson ) But I believe he ain't there anymore..Go easy on the Magic Cookie Bars..( I had two per day ) ... clapping

I would go with POR. We stayed at CSR though this last September and was perfectly lovely. The rooms need a little updating (the furniture was getting pretty rundown) and the food court was great, but the theming there just doesn't really speak to me. POR is just so pretty and I love the fact you're just a boat ride away from DTD.

All great suggestions!! The renovation potential at CSR does deter me a bit. So many great reviews on POR. We both loved POFQ and just haven't stayed there since because of the price, so I'm thinking we might go POR. Plus when we stayed at FQ we didn't get to take the boat because the neight we had planned to the river was swollen and the boats weren't running!

I love the business class rooms at CSR with access to the Coconino Lounge. Its worth the extra money.
