Hey! I'm excited to discover a site that is devoted to Disney World as it interests grown ups. I've been to Walt Disney World three times and am going again in 2011. My goal is to go back every year.

So far, I've been once as a kid, once to POR in 2008 for my & hubby's hunnymoon, and again to POR in 2010 for our anniversary. I'm going to CBR in 2011!

Thanks for the great site.

Thanks everyone,

I'm going to in September 2011 for twelve days, eleven nights. With a ten-day parkhopper pass this gives an extra day to check out some resorts, the Boardwalk, Downtown Disney, etc.

Yay! I was able to get the free dining plan!!

Sssshhhhh...you are ruining my image of Disney in September! (that is, me prancing merrily around a deserted park, with the only thing getting between me and the empty rides is the occasional passing tumbleweed...)

Yes, I was hoping for tumbleweed around the parks too! I've been all three times in May, which is a beautiful month to visit and enjoy the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival, but last year the crowds were much larger than in previous years.

Here's hoping the crowds stay small in September.

It can still be a bit hot in early September. Otherwise it's a great time to go. We did late Sept through early Oct this year for Food and Wine. Crowds were kind of random, but I feel like random is the norm now.

Fortunately, my hubby and I are going mid to late September, so hopefully it won't be as hot as August. I've heard that September weather can be similar to that in May. We wanted to avoid the Food and Wine Festival crowds so we're leaving before the beginning of October.

If only they could make a Food and Wine Festival without the crowds! I think it's worth the crowds though.

Oh, if it's the heat that makes late September better than early September rather than crowd levels then that's fine with me. I'm good with high temperatures and muggyness; it doesn't bother me. I was just looking forward to less queuing because so far I have only ever been in summer.

Oh my gosh! First trip!!! That is so exciting!!
You are doing the best thing you can..research! Ask any question you have no matter how small, we love to talk Disney!

Where are you staying, how long are you going? There is so much to plan! You'll have to let me know how it goes..we are taking our son down in May and he'll he 18 months..I have been many times before but it's going to be a whole new ballgame taking a toddler!
