Are any resorts more appealing to solos?

Can you think of any reasons why one resort or another might be appealing for a solo traveler? Would you have any advice for someone trying it solo for the first time?

I always think of the moderates when I think of solo trips although I can't say why. Seems like their the "easiest" in a lot of ways.

I don't think one resort has any merit over another for a solo traveler. It's going to depend on your budget and tastes to begin with. I do try to avoid the Value resorts, though, as I picture them swamped with kids. I liked Coronado Springs, because it's a Moderate and known to be a convention hotel, meaning hopefully more adults and fewer kids. And I imagine the Swan and Dolphin would be appealing for the same reason. But I know many adults who don't like to stay at a hotel with conference folks because they think it takes away from the "magic". Different strokes.

I like the idea of the deluxes for solos. While there are often a lot of kids there, they also have plenty of little, tucked away spots that many families are too busy with the parks to visit. I'm thinking specifically of Wilderness Lodge, but Animal Kingdom Lodge and Beach/Yacht Club would also fit this criteria.
