Best area for young couples.

Hello,

My wife and I are looking to book our Orlando/Disney holiday this week and we are unsure of where to go. We are torn between staying in Lake Buena Vista or International Drive. We aren't planning on going out every night as we don't want to kill ourselves but were looking to venture out a couple of times. Of the two places which one would be the better to access some nightlife? Is it pretty much just Downtown Disney or are there other or even better places to go?

Thanks

P.S. We are so excited! clapping

When my now-husband and I went to the World last October, we stayed off International Drive. We found it accessible to plenty of restaurants and Universal's City Walk. We had lots of fun as the sun set, and we too are a young couple. I don't know about more than shopping or eating, but CW was more adult-friendly than DTD. And of course, it was a very quick drive from our hotel.

Haha! Don't worry! Thanks a lot, that's great help. I did wonder about city walk. Sounds like the better option. Thanks again and I'm glad you enjoyed your holiday.

Are you visiting Disney, Universal, or both?

Universal City Walk has fun nightlife as well as Downtown Disney. Downtown Disney is bigger and has more to offer IMO. We've never stayed off Disney property, so I cannot give you any info on that!

The Boardwalk at Disney also has fun adult stuff!

LoL... I rarely go off property when at Disney so I'm not sure I can give a good answer. However I've never had a problem finding things to do at night at DoOwntown Disney, Boardwalk or the Resort Hotels.
