Break from DHS

If you wanted to leave DHS to take a mid day break where would you go? What would you do? We are staying off property.

I usually go between DHS and Epcot. The Boardwalk is also right in the middle of both, and fun to stroll. You could also ride the boat over, to get a little rest.

Are the shops and games open at the Boardwalk hotel during the day?

the shops are definitely open, but I seem to remember the games and performers not showing up until late afternoon/evening. Others might correct me on that.

I think the boat ride and the shops may be enough of a reason to take a little break away from the park. thanks!

I actually walk between the parks. I like the walk along the waterway, and you can walk it leisurely if you want. (or for exercise too if so inclined!). I use that walk in between as a "noise reset" from the park crowds and clear my head of all the stimulus of crowds, rides, etc. It is nice. mickey

I'd head to the Boardwalk too, or over to Beach Club for Ice Cream

can you ride the boat over with a stroller (my own) open and a potentially sleeping child inside (hopefully sleeping!)

Oh, good question! My kids are much older so I'm not sure.
Maybe someone with little ones will be able to help.

I did not have to collapse mine from DHS to EPCOT, but I did have to park it in the back, behind the seats.
