This may be a stupid question but... you cant take a rented stroller on the monorail to the resorts right?
The rentals can not leave the parks. And they look very uncomfortable. We brought our stroller with us, DS was 22 months and 34 pounds. We had a bike lock with us, While you can't lock the stroller to anything (CMs very quicly informed us) in case they need to be reorganized, we did lock the wheels together and around the seat, so that it could be taken by accident (or on purpose )
The issue is while we have 2 folding strollers its a pain to bring both. Our 4 year old rides comfortably in it but out 7 year old is huge. she s91 pounds and 4ft7 and its impossible to push her in the maclaren. She was excited to ride in a stroller again and we told her she could at Disney. Maybe it makes sense to bring the one umbrella and rent a single instead of a double for her to ride in the park. She will just have to walk to the monorail for our mid day break. Any ideas welcome!
Depending on how long you are going to be in the park, it might me worth looking into a new stroller (or used). The rentals are expensive. Singles are 13.00/day, doubles are 27.00. Although at 91 pounds whes not going to fit in most, and will get very heavy to push for long. Not sure what the weight limit is on the rentals.
Check out this site for great rental stroller information
I have the City Mini single rider stroller, and it's the best. It's folds in half easily, and is not too heavy. They have a double stroller version which is fantastic as well and it folds the same way as the single stroller. These were all over the Disney when we went. This company was one that I saw alot on the strollers. Hope this helps!
Are you sure your 7 year old would use a stroller? Why not play it by ear and see how she goes

Perhaps you could get her going for long walks to get used to it. And put her in comfortable broken-in running shoes. you would not belive the number of grumpy kids becuse their feet hurt, and you look at thier shoes and they have cheap Flipflops/thongs or worse the hard plastic princess heels. Function over fashion.
Your 7-year-old is only four inches shorter than I am. I think you'll do fine if you rent a stroller for her in the parks and let her walk elsewhere. She's certainly big enough to handle it, and if you stress what a big girl she is to do all that walking it will probably become a point of pride for her.
I don't recall when your trip is (or you didn't mention it)...but it occurs to me that if your trip is several months away, all it will take is one good growth spurt and your 7-year-old will be too big for the double stroller.
Aww that's not too bad. She could hit a growth spurt before then, but no need to court trouble.
Stick with your plan and if she has to walk when the time comes so be it.
Agreed, April is close enough that even a growth spurt shouldn't keep her out of the double stroller.
Frankly I would like a stroller ride!

From your description of your future WNBA all-star, in just a few years you'll be able rent a wheelchair and get HER to push YOU around.
