Cake Toppers

If there's one thing that can really "date" a wedding cake, it's the cake topper. How do you feel about cake toppers? Do you like the classic bride and groom statue, or do you prefer something with a little more style?

I had a Bride/Groom Mickey & Minnie statue. What did yours look like?

For ours I hand painted little figurines to look like us. It was simple but fun and fit the vibe of the rest of our wedding. I love the mickey ears one above, though!

This is our cake topper. My sister-in-law gave me the bride and groom kitties when we announced our engagement, and I made them into a cake topper because I HAD to have kitties on my cake. I don't have any digital photos of the actual cake, but we keep the topper in a display case, so here it is.

I did flowers on the top tier and 2nd tier. (small 3 tier cake)

My honeymoon is what made me a Disney World fanatic! It was my first trip to WDW. Otherwise everything at my wedding would have been different!

We had a Mickey & Minnie 'Bride & Groom' on our wedding cake. Our cake had a an American and Disney theme, with stars and strips ribbon, red and blue stars, and white Mickey heads.

Awesome; we plan on making our own too Smile

And I decided to forgo making a cake topper (too many other things to make, haha) and ordered one yesterday from an Etsy seller...I think it goes with our Disney/fairytale theme so well!! The heart in the middle will be purple to match our colors.

SO CUTE! I love the simplicity of it but how it still fits with the theme perfectly.
