Character Meals?

How often do you guys like to get a character meal in? Is it an every trip occurrence? We like them, but we tend to find that since the food rarely stands up we eventually sacrifice them for something else. We do like to get our Crystal Palace meal in, particularly for breakfast, but it's definitely not every trip. How often do you guys opt to dine with characters?

We actually do it pretty rarely. As you say, the food rarely justifies the meal.

I like to do one each trip and switch it up each time. I prefer to do it for breakfast since I'm not a big fan of buffet style food and buffet dinner is much easier to mess up. Last time I went to Crystal Palace and in August I have an ADR for 1900 Park Fare. I think it's fun to go and it's difficult to mess up a breakfast buffet!

Have you done 1900 Park Fare before? We've never been.

We usually do 2 or 3 each trip. They are always for breakfast though.

We always do breakfast, too, but I'm wondering if I should try lunch or dinner. Boma does such a great job with the buffet at Dinner, I wonder if other restaurants might as well.

I've heard good things about Chef Mickey's for dinner, for instance... Smile

I've never done breakfast at Park Fare which is why I booked it this time. I've done dinner though and enjoyed it. I was a kid though so anythign would have suited me. I'll let you know how breakfast was after my August trip!

I've heard that 1900 Park Fare is far superior to Cinderella's Royal Table! Can't wait to hear your review!

That one always looks like fun to me. It's hard for me to give up a Crystal Palace breakfast, but I think this needs to go on my to-do list.

We ate breakfast at Park Fare on our last trip. The food is pretty much like all of the other character breakfasts. Their plates are shaped like Mickey's head and ears so that was fun. I think with the character meals your preference of characters is going to go a long ways in which you prefer. To me Mickey and the Gang are so much more fun than Alice, Mary Poppins and such.

Disney confession -- face characters scare me a little bit. I never know what to say to them! laugh
