The crazy person's early pre, pre, pre TR

It's starting to look like things are going to come together!!!!!!! YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For those of you who don't know me it's the usual crazy cast of characters, myself the "slightly" obsessed Disney fan and chief planner, my dh (casual Disney fan), my older ds will be 22(autistic), and my mini-me 14(at time of visit) and assistant planner. My younger ds is so happy he will be "legal" for this trip, getting to go some places without the ball and chain AKA mom and dad This is more a general outline than a TR, but I'm starting to want some input. Leave date July 28, 2016 give or take a day or 2. Day one drive down to Ga. and get some sleep. Day 2 up early and be at Kennedy Space Center for opening. Day 3 Astronauts Hall of fame, grab provisions and check into condo (thinking 17 or 18 nights). I know off sight again, but because of my ds's and my allergies we need a full kitchen and the price on the condo gives us a longer vacation, not to mention we each get out own bedroom and bath, you share a bathroom with 2 teenagish boys for over 2 weeks and get back to me. Here's the park plans, so far. 2 or 3 days with hoppers over at Universal (never been), depending on Mr Ferret's tr. Not much pressure there Mr F LOL. We probably won't spring for the hoppers in Disney, Never seemed worth it for us. My boys are commandos and like to open and close the same park each day. 3 days for MK and food I'm thinking BOG, CP and the Plaza. 3 days for EPCOT other than SS and TC not sure what we might do for food I'll be asking for suggestions later. 2 days in MGM, DHS or whatever it may be called by then LOL probably going to do a Fantasmic dining package, haven't done HBD in years and I won't eat at Hollywood and Vile until I'm sure the place has improved. 1 day in AK not sure about dinner, thinking something over by AKL. 2 days to do nothing, who am I kidding, I'm going to the outlets and DTD. We might add another park day or maybe the water parks and more. I know very early planning, but how's it looking so far?

I forgot to add if we don't do the water parks and more we'll be adding another park day and I'm going to surprise my dh with the Behind the seeds tour (he loved it) either way and another day "off".

Sounds good so far, Figgy. Wow, you are staying a long time this trip. I would love to stay a few more days than we do sometime. Where are you stopping in GA? That will be a long drive. Did you drive that far last time?
My DD and her husband tried some places to eat that we haven't tried before and liked them. They did Tokyo Dining twice and loved it. She said the buffet in Germany was good but might not try it again. And they are at the little bar next to the Italian place-do not recall the name but they got antipasto and a few small dishes and wine. They loved it too.
If we try anywhere different this trip, I'll let you know.
We are going to try something different this year by doing our FP in the evenings except for AK. That leaves mornings for relaxing and swimming, shopping.
So excited you are planning another trip!! awesome

I think we're going to do what we did last time and stop in Brunswick GA. We found a nice clean, cheap place. Besides we're only going to use it to sleep. Leave home 6 am and get there by 7 or so. We've driven straight through to Kennedy no problems several times before.

Figgy is going to her happy place! yay

Sounds like a great frame work. Sounds like a nice long trip. And I know you like that heat and humidity!

I can't wait to hear Mr. Ferret's review of Universal, too. Hope he takes lots of pictures that he will share with us stuck in our hum drum lives!

I would suggest Mama Melrose for Fantasmic! I always figured if we did that, that was the least objectionable. Of course with all of the changes at DHS, MGM, or whatever it may be, that might change by then, too.

Think you'll check out the new Margarita place at formerly DTD? Looks like a nice place to grab a drink. I know it is awhile off, but PLEASE take a bunch of pictures so I can "come along".

Let see a new drink place? Let me see, waiting waiting Of course I'll just have to stop by for a quick drink. After a long day of shopping I might just need one. LOL I promise lots of pics and with the longer trip the TR, can you say War and Peace part 2

It's funny because when people ask me about what we do in Florida, it's an easy question now...Disney!!!,,That's it...Done Universal and Islands three times..Shopping malls the same...Seaworld twice....So for our last three trips ( excluding 2010 when we done a one day trip to Universal ) It's been inside the bubble..Yeah I know..Friends say to me that after travelling 3000 miles,we don't leave WDW..Are you crazy...So I think your trip looks awesome, possible you may be exhausted after doing all these super stuff, so I'd make sure you plan some serious chill out time...Especially in July/August..

Sounds like an awesome trip! We looooooved Coral Reef in Epcot and Tutto Italia was yummy too even though Italian isn't at the top of my list of favorite cuisines. Tutto Gusto is the wine/tapas bar next door that boomer was referencing and I've heard great things about it. awesome

Things are starting to come together with our plan. Just have to wait for a few weeks to set the date in stone (dh has to block off the time off) So far the plan is July 29,2016, mani, pedi, hair and grab last minute items (snacks for the ride) July30, 6am hit the road and drive to Georgia. July31 head south on95 go to DTD, just to have lunch and look around. Grab food on the way to the condo. 3 days planned 20 or so left to plan! Not sure if we're going to do Disney or Universal first.

This trip we're taking it nice and slow. Day one to Georgia about 13 and a half hours with stops. Day 2 about 3 or so hours to DTD for shopping. Not to bad as we'll have our car for the trip. My dh will be taking 4 weeks off, so lots of time to get things done down there and a few days off at home to sleep before going back to work. We've driven straight through to Kennedy Space Center before and that's just over 16 hours.

You are much better with driving than my family. We are dedicated fliers. Don't want to waste precious vacation time driving.

We just decide to make the Disney portion of our trip 14 days and are adding the WP&M to our tickets clapping awesome . Not sure about the hoppers yet, hopefully the boys will have picked out their must do ADRs and we'll go from there! My dh got ticket prices from work and we're looking at saving somewhere between 12 & 14% off rack rates tax included! awesome We'll be picking up the tickets before the next price increase, again YEA next year's vacation this year's price! AAA had always been cheaper until tis point, but a dollar saved is another dollar to spend in Disney!

yay You're going to Disney! yay

Way to take advantage of those discounts.

My family insists on hoppers. There is something nice about being able to go wherever, whenever. Of course, it might be different if we were staying so long! We have to cram it all in under 7 days.

I wish I was doing a Disney trip then, too. Instead, if all goes as planned, I will be getting ready to send my first baby off to college, somewhere in the big blue world.
