Disney Chase CC

Anyone have this card? I just keep seeing the offer pop up. We only have one CC that we use, but I was curious to see if you could redeem points for Disney vacations? Tickets?

Thanks!

We have it and use it for a lot of our purchases. We used to use to pay the mortgage, then pay the card off each month - nice way to rack up points.

We redeemed our points for the Disney Dream Rewards Dollars card (think Disney gift card) in March and used a chunk of it in DisneyLand and will use a chunk of it in September at WDW.

You can also use the reward dollars towards paying for your trip.

Little added benefits are the 10% off purchases of $50 or more at the parks, and I like the special cardholder pins. And this year was the early notice on free dining before the general public announcement.

And, well, it has Mickey on it mickey

We just have the regular no-fee card. The fee card did not make economic sense to us for vs. the benefits.

I love my Disney card. Mine has Bambi on it. I earned over 200.00 Disney dollars for our last time.

I'm thinking of getting one b/c you get 6 months to pay off your Disney vacation, interest free, right?

Another thought might be a Southwest rewards card. I've already earned four free round trip tickets in three months, just using it like a debit card and paying it off. For us, the flights are what prevent us from visiting Florida as much as we'd like, so I thought this would be a better option for us.

I think you can use the rewards points on SW vacations, which also include Disney.

I love my card. We just upgraded to the premier card. We only have 1 credit card, my Husband uses it for work almost everyday and expenses it. So, we end up accruing more than enough to make up for the $49 annual fee. Already, since upgrading, we are accruing faster than I thought we would. I have been able to turn my points back onto the card itself toward my airline tickets. That helped out a lot, with flights to Sacramento, we drive to WDW.

JMUDukz, you should be happy with it. We have like 900 points on ours to use on our next trip. They build up pretty quick.

My thoghts was if I am going to have a credit card, why not have one that does me some good. This one does just that, even if it does take a while to add up sometimes.

So I guess that IS my question. You have 900 points, but what exactly can that buy you in terms of hotel, food, etc at WDW.

My DW would love to get signed up to one of these cards, but can't because we're from the UK.

It's 900 Disney reward dollars, I shouldn't say points, so anywhere you can use a Disney Gift card, you can use those reward dollars. You can pay on a trip, a cruise, gift shops, restaurants, wishes cruise , tours, pretty much anywhere in Disney.

That sounds pretty freakin' sweet to me! That would pay for 1/2 vacation!!

I have the Disney Visa credit card.

Before we all gush over it about the cash back that we get for every purchase, please note that you only get 1% cash back. Now compare that with some other credit cards that offer 2%, 3%, even 5% cash back, and you'll realize that you can accumulate a lot more cash back and a lot faster using other credit cards. So if your intention is to get money back, you should realize that there are better options out there (unless, of course, this is the only credit card that you have).

I tend to use this card as my last option. I often use my Discover and my Costco AMEX first, especially when dining out, buying gas, or when purchasing something that is included in Discover's 5% cashback promotion. I'll only use the Disney Visa if Visa is the only CC that is accepted, or if I want a discount at a Disney Store.

Thanks. That is what my husband said. We already have one CC that we get points for every purchase. You can turn points in and receive cash, gifts, plane tickets, etc. This is how we flew to Disney in May. My husband does not believe in financing a vacation...so I guess I really do not need the card... sarcastic haha

I took out the Disney card when our first grandson was born. Five years later we used the points to pay for all of our (6), park hopper passes. Since our last trip we haven't used it much at all. We have another card that racks points up a lot quicker. There are some perks to using it at the parks. Adorable card but better ones out there.

Do you know where to look up the perks? I have one but don't know how to use it for Disney stuff.
