Ok so they are going to be taping the Christmas Day parade while we are down there. Thursday is slated as a dress rehersal with friday and saturday being filming days. Has anyone here been down there during the taping before. I'm just starting to get a little nervous that it is going to be a mad house at the Magic Kingdom on those days. Does anyone know what it will be like?
Never been there for it and staying away from that area all together probably!

We were at WDW in 2010 when they were taping the parade. I researched it enough to make the decision to completely avoid MK on Saturday. This was the discussion then:

If that's your idea of fun, you should plan on going. It just wasn't ours because we were only there for a long weekend, and I'm not a big crowd fan like that. We ended up at HS on that Saturday and did MK on Sunday. Worked out great for us.
I can't say whether Thursday and/or Friday would be equally crazy, but I'd guess Friday probably would be.
