Maybe they are afraid of offending Lucas, now a major stockholder.

Can't they get George to ruin, I mean enhance it? Captain EO Special Edition...? Why is it still hanging around?!

I personally LOVE Michael Jackson and have since I was a little girl so I do this attraction every time I go to Epcot. I'm happy it's sticking around for my next trip Smile

Ditto biggrin Sure it's cheesy (and maybe just a tad awful) but it holds a special place in my heart. muchlove

There's so much suspense the first time you see it. It's like the best thriller (no pun) movie you've ever seen. You sit there, and wait and wait....will he, will he....dare he....you know it's coming...wait...will he do his signature crotch grab in Disney for all the little princes and princesses to see.

But alas no. What self control the King of Pop had.

Same here, I'm not a huge fan of this choice.

I didn't even know Captain EO had disappeared for a while. Don't much care either way. I can walk right by without feeling I've missed anything or stop in for a bit of 80s nostalgia (unlike many of you, I actually remember the 80s wheelchair )

I said this on Kenny the Pirate's Facebook post when they announced EO was coming back and I'll say it again. Someone give me a lifetime supply of Beverly right now. I'd rather drink Beverly for life than see Captain EO!

If you find a lifetime supply of Beverly, let me know how I can get some please? That stuff is GOOD.

I second what they said! Once was enough for me......most of my friends say that they watch EO just for Michael. I have watched it a couple times though but I just pass by it most of the time. I'd rather go on Journey into Imagination.

I have actually never seen it. Now everyone has me thinking I should go to see just how "bad" it is. See what I did there? wink

Back in 1988 when I saw it for the first time, it was great. However, as Disney have chosen not to remaster or upgrade any of the effects, it is a slice of cheesorama from the 80s. I went to see it on it's re-release and had to sit through the movie with a group of girls sniggering at everything. They found it hilarious and I found it a slice of cheese too many...didn't stop my mum insisting we all went to see it when I took them end of last year!

Like the sentiment, like the idea behind the video, but it is so dated now, it needs to archived to prevent anyone from accidentally discovering it...!
