Epcot Flower and Garden Festival questions

I was wondering (as am 15 days out now..yahooo) if Epcot Flower and Garden Festival as a Passport book (like the Food and Wine Festival)? And if the do...do you pick it up at the same place..Festival Welcome Center?
Also on the different booths...just wondering what some food booths are not to be missed?
Thanks again for all in input.

Honestly, I am not sure about the passport book, but I've been to the Flower and Garden twice, in 2012 and 2013 and I was pretty underwhelmed. If you are really into all the gardening stuff, you will probably be thrilled. It seemed other than walking around looking at topiaries, there wasn't a lot to do. We went towards the end and missed several celebrity appearances by a few days and our park touring never seemed to coincide with the festival exhibits.

If you can make one of the exhibits with the HGTV people, I recommend it. The food booths were just "okay". I think we got one thing the entire time....

I'm sure for my somewhat negative review, someone will have awesome recommendations and foodie info for you!

I believe there is a passport-type booklet, I think I saw some. We didn't pick one up ourselves, though. If such a thing exists, I imagine you'd get it at the welcome center.

We LOVED the food, though, when we went earlier this month.

Hubby's favorite was the ghost pepper dusted tilapia at Urban Eats. I enjoyed it also. My favorite was the spring pancake with grilled chicken and green apple at Lotus House, and hubby agreed it was great. We just disagreed on which dish we would rank #1.

Other things we tried:

From Urban Eats, we also tried the eggplant scallop. Hubby liked it, I didn't.

From Jardin de Fiestas, I had the taco al pastor and thought it was okay but not awesome; hubby had the quesadilla de hongos con queso and also thought it was okay but not great.

From Lotus House, we also tried the vegetable spring rolls and loved them, although not quite as much as we loved that spring pancake.

We missed the Florida Fresh booth because pouring rain kept us from revisiting Epcot at the end of our stay.

We skipped Primavera Kitchen because nothing on the menu appealed to us.

At The Smokehouse, I had the pulled pig slider with cole slaw and hubby tried the smoked beef brisket with collard greens and jalapeno corn bread. We each tried a bite of the other's dish, and each preferred and thoroughly enjoyed our own selection.

From Hanami, I had the hanami sushi and hubby had the temaki hand roll. Again, we each had a bite of the other's dish and each preferred our own. But they were both quite good.

At Taste of Marrakesh, we shared the lamb brewat roll, the harissa chicken kebab with couscous salad, and the baghrir. I didn't care for the baghrir at all. The harissa chicken kebab was okay - frankly, the couscous salad was the best part of that dish - and we both agreed that the lamb brewat roll was the best selection. (And I generally don't care for lamb.)

From Fleur de Lys the only thing we tried was the kir imperial, which was delicious. We would've gone back for the confit de canard on a subsequent visit to Epcot, but that rain kept us away.

At Buttercup Cottage I had the pork and apple sausage roll and hubby had the field greens with strawberries, almonds, and Stilton cheese. He absolutely raved about that salad, said the combination of the dressing, greens, berries, and cheese was absolute perfection. I don't like cheese so did not taste it, but I thought the sausage roll was magnificent.

And from Pineapple Promenade OMG the sweet potato cinnamon waffle with pineapple soft-serve was AMAZING! If they sold this at Aloha Isle I would never get a Dole Whip float again.

Wow crazycatperson...Thank you so much. I will look for the passport only because I think it is neat (as I love the W&F one) and thanks for all the eats...I have printed it out and I will take it with me so my girlfriend can see it as well. This is great as it gives us ideas..especially Pineapple Promenade sweet potato cinnamon as moved to the top of my list. Again thanks for the wonderful write-up.
