Feeling stupid, but I can't remember...

You have to book a room packagae to get the DP right? You can't just do a room only ressie?

Starting to really get into planning/booking mode now. clapping

We don't want DP unless we can get Free Dining. If we don't have it we are putting a certain $ amount we want to spend on food on a gift card for the whole week and do our own dining plan. So a room only discount would probably be better, but if they offer free dining we are all going that route and probably upgrage to DxDP. It's DH and I and 1-3 other couples so there's a lot to figure out.

You can get a Room + DDP if you're an annual pass holder, but I think you're wise to only do the dining plan if it's free.

We don't have an AP.

I agree we probably won't do it unless it's free, but we have cover all angles at this point.

Yep, you need to book the whole package for the Dining Plan.

I've been struggling with that myself for next year. We're doing a split stay and I'm just not sure how it's going to work. I think I'm going to end up booking cash through DVC so I can have the dining plan, but if that costs me extra money putting the food budget on a gift card might be a better way for me to go. There are so many options and choices these days it can be difficult to figure out which one works "best" for any given vacation!
