My only experience with that is viewing the fireworks on the ferryboat back to Ticket and Transportation.. The view was decent but somewhat obstructed.. Also at Ticket and Transportation waiting on a shuttle back to SOG. Surprisingly, that view was less obstructed than on the ferry boat. I hear in front of Poly on the beach is awesome, as I'm sure is the case with the Grand Floridian..
Thus far, we haven't planned to see the fireworks from outside the park, but may need to do that someday. My last experience front and center was not so good..
We saw them from the ferry heading towards MK from the transportation and ticket centre. The view was pretty good. I also enjoyed the views from TOTWL and the sky bridge ( walkway connecting BLT and Contemporary ).
We watched Wishes from the rooftop of California Grill last time we were there. Maybe it was all the hype from our friends but we were underwhelmed. It was further away than we expected visually. I think it's way better in the park.
We used to be regulars at the Poly beach, but we haven't tried to go over there since the construction started and I'm not sure how the addition of Bora Bora has affected the view even if you could get onto the beach.
Forgive me I don't remember if you do the DVC, but if you do, we've been enjoying Top of the World Lounge quite a bit. The only thing that it took me a while to get used to up there is that the big fireworks look like they're over Space Mountain instead of over the castle. This was particularly helpful during the seasons when the parties are running. We saw HalloWishes 3 times and we only paid for the party once.

We almost never watch the Fireworks at the Magic Kingdom anymore. If we stay at the Poly we watch from our room or the Boat launch dock. Also we do Wishes Cruises also and think that is the absolute best way to see Wishes. You can see the fireworks much better from farther away from the castle. The beach is nice but, if you are not a resort guest at the Poly, you will not be able to watch from there anymore. The beach and pool are getting fenced in just like Yacht & Beach Clubs.

They fenced in the beach?
Top of the World Lounge
Top of the World is my "go to" and it's actually my favorite lounge on property. I am absolutely crazy for the whole design, the cake, the cocktails... when you toss in fireworks it's like a little piece of heaven. We plan on heading over there after Hoop-Dee-Doo next month.
Someone on Youtube posted they could see HS fireworks from their Boardwalk room. Does anyone know what to request to get the best view for the standard BW villas? I did not check anything for online check-in - because none of that seemed to increase my chances to get a better than standard room.
And I just have to brag we saw MK fireworks (the last of the extra long midnight senior night version) from 1br at towers and again at the top at which point I became engaged to my wife! The 1br park view was $320/night those two nights -- still waiting to see that deal again!!
We were able to "see" Wishes from our Boardwalk balcony (I never remember the room numbers, but I think we were facing the courtyard at the main entrance off the Boardwalk and I want to say that we were on the 4th floor), but it was far in the distance over the top of Beach Club. I wonder if there are any rooms at BC or YC that offer any kind of decent view.

We love the view from just outside the MK gates, down by the boat decks or on the path on your way to the monorail. There's not any really good seating, but if you don't mind standing it's a great view, especially for one the special event fireworks that you don't have a hard ticket to (MNSSHP, for example).

They are saying it will happen. The Point where the bungalows are will definitely have a fence, its going to be locked gate they said at the review and they said the pool and beach area will be as well.
My favorite spot was from our balcony at the Contemporary when we had a theme park view room for our 40th birthday celebration. My next favorite spot is from the observation deck of the California Grill. Although this year, I'm hoping to do a wishes cruise, so maybe my favorite spot will change.
Don't forget that one added advantage of watching Wishes from Top of the World lounge is that you only need to walk to the other side of the lounge to get an unobstructed view of the Electric Water Pageant!
Still, if you want to watch Wishes with all the symmetry and the projection on the castle, being on Main Street is the only choice.

The fireworks are designed to be viewed from in the parks. So IMO anywhere outside the parks just isn't the same. I did a wishes cruise and was very excited about it and I wound up very disappointed. Too far away. TOWL is nice though; they have drinks. I like drinks.
