Garden Grocers

Has anyone used Garden Grocers? I was thinking about just ordering the items we need instead of us having to make a run to the grocery store. Do you know if they will store your perishable items (milk, juice, cheese, butter, etc.) at POP for you until your room is ready? Thoughts.. opinions....

We've never used them, but they seem to get pretty good reviews for the most part over at Allears.net:

Like Jeff, I have never heard anything bad about them and from what I understand they are a viable alternative to the small stores found in the resort shoppng areas. Also as I understand it they prefer for you to be there to receive the order(probably so they can get a tip for the delivery) but if you are not there the baggage handling at your resort will accept the delivery AND keep it in their fridge for you but I am not sure if they (the resort) will deliver the order to your room.

I highly recommend them!!!
We've used them and it was great. The delivery came on time and the resort stored it until we checked in AND the perishables were kept in a 'fridge in Bell Services.
They have a minimum $ amount -$40 I think? - but milk, fruit, spoons, paper bowls, plates, cereal, tea, creamer & sweetener. We also got bagels and peanut butter along with some other snacks. It was all well worth it.
We never have a car and this was simpler and cheaper than making a 'town car stop' because we always impulse shopped when we did that!

I've used them with only a minor hitch that was driver error and fixed quickly. I would recommend the service and will use it again in the future. They do prefer you to be in your room for delivery.

I've never used them before--but like others have said I have always heard good things about them.

Are they a bit more expensive than other grocery stores (not Wal-Mart obviously but like Publix etc?) or are they pretty competitively priced?

I have read a lot of comments from people who stay in the cabins at Fort Wilderness and they say they have found their groceries all delivered and put away for them. All the comments were great and it sounds like a very convient service.
