Hey Everyone!
I just wanted to say hello! I'm a pretty big Disney Fan, & I have an abnormal need to be super prepared whenever I go to Disney so I stumbled across this site! (Wish i found it for my last to trips, but better late than never!) I'm from New York but live & work in Connecticut. My trip to Disney is in 2 WEEKS!! 
I'm going w/ 3 of my buddies to celebrate my 30th Birthday!! I just wanted to stop in and say hello before I start bombarding you all with questions.

I'm about an hour and a half away from the big city so visiting my family and friends isn't a killer! Oh I meant to add where I'm staying for my trip...I try to stay someplace different each time I venture to Disney. This time we're staying at Port Orleans French Quarter. I hear it's newly renovated w/queen beds and such, I only plan to come back to the room to change clothes and sleep, but I was kinda disappointed they don't have a sit down restaurant at the resort, ah well more time for me to venture around Disney I guess!

Try the beignets in Sassagoula CS and if it's breakfast time look for an elderly lady cleaning up and see if her name is Ethel. If it is just say Hi, and you will have an instant friend, she is wonderful. Now!! here's a big hello and hoping you enjoy all the great conversations on here.

Welcome! We've stayed at the POFQ twice now and were pleased both times! I'm jealous you are going in 2 weeks, but I suppose someone has to go

Oh great! Welcome to WDWFG!! You can always take the boat next door to Boatwrights or down to Downtown Disney for a sit-down meal -- not too far at all!
Any other plans for the trip? Where are you "officially" celebrating your birthday?

2 weeks from your trip...how awesome is that?
You guys are SO Awesome! 
On my birthday we're spending the day in the Magic Kingdom & having dinner at 'Ohana! I've heard that's the move to make & I think Wishes is at 10 that night so I'm planning on having dinner around 9:25 & hopefully we'll see the fireworks from there!
Favorite rides? I'm a fan of expedition everest & I love animals so Animal Kingdom is so much fun! I plan to do as much as I possibly can for the 5 days we're there!
That Pic from Boatwright's looks fantastic! Sounds like that's the 1st place I'm going after we get settled in the hotel!

I thought about the wishes dessert party (just found out about it a few days ago), but I'm more of a food fan than a dessert girl sooo I might save that for the next trip!!

Super duper early Happy Bday to you, too! I think the Flower and Garden fest is still going on at Epcot, so that will also be something fun to see.
I had dinner at WDW for my 30th, too! But I picked Cali Grill. 
Any other fun ADRs that you're looking forward to? Or other experiences?
Wishes dessert party is fun, but the Banana Bread Pudding at Ohana is even better! Be sure to ask for a window seat!
