Hi from Philly area!

Hi there. biggrin

I'm a huge Disney fanatic (obviously) and mom of two and wife of one. mickey We're all Disney fanatics, but we're getting to that point where DH and I will be making some trips alone and I'm looking forward to it. Starting in the next month or so I'm changing up careers and still trying to figure out if my new boss will be okay with two vacations in one year. waiting I think he'll just have to get over it. laugh

I'm really looking forward to reading everyone's posts and I'm a huge trip report fan.

Favorite resort: POFQ followed by Contmeporary
Favorite ride: Haunted Mansion followed by TOT
Favorite restaurant: (so far) Mama Melrose
Favorite characters: Eeyore/Tink
Favorite movie: Beauty and the Beast
Favorite park: Hmmm...depends on the day but probably MK

Welcome. Glad you joined us. There are quite a few of us from PA. I live in CT now but am originally from southwestern PA and I grew up in Punxsutawney.

Next trip is supposed to be Star Wars weekend for YDS. It's in May 2014.

Hi Mojjo! Welcome!!

I absolutely loved that point where the kids were okay with hubby and I going away on our own. I now travel in all sorts of configurations of my family and it's awesome.

We took our first vacation without the kids for our 10th Wedding Anniversary, so the kids were roughly 10, 14 & 16. It was old enough that they were able to understand us going to do something fun on our own for a special occasion. They had a family member stay with them at the house. Now - don't get me wrong they wanted to come too. However they knew that they were going on the trip the next year and we brought back lots of gifts.

The age is arbitrary though, because you are the parent and it is ok for you to need a few days off on your own as long as they are safe and cared for while you're gone. Gifts - bring home lots of gifts.

No. We have never been. We usually go in the fall and winter as Dh doesn't like it too hot. But for SWW he can get over it or go home. YDS and I are both big Star Wars fans.

One more from the Philly suburbs !! We are right near the Philadelphia Airport.....
My Husband and I took our first trip without kids in 2011 for our 25th Anniversary. We had
so much fun !! Welcome and enjoy ..... everyone is great on here !! yay

May and June aren't too bad...hopefully, all will have fun. As for you and YDS: y'all will have a BLAST!
