**I booked three!!!** TOURS AND SUCH

Hi everyone. I know Behind the Seeds, Keys to the Kingdom and Marceline to MK have both been mentioned and discussed quite a bit.

While I am there in August and Blondie and Joe are golfing I am thinking of hitting a few of them. Ones I am interested in...

Backstage Tales Animal Kingdom
UnDISCOVERED Future World
DestiNations Discovered
Jiko Wine Tasting - not really a tour but it works...

I feel like there are other kitchen tours/resort tours but nothing is really coming to mind right now.

Has anyone done any of the above? Thoughts??? Worth the time and money.

Do you know of other kitchen/wine tasting tours?

What do you all recommend? I know Behind the Seeds and KttK are a definite!

Flying Fish had a very nice wine tasting but not sure it will be back open in time for your trip. It is not a special event but there is a great wine pairing in Germany. Actually pair a wine with a pickle, I know,,, but it was very good. And another great tour is the Segway tour at Wilderness.

Segways at Wilderness??? Awesome, where do I get more info?

I also love pickles so maybe that is doable too!

Have done the EPCOT Segway tour and it was fabulous, but unfortunately it is no longer an option. Looking forward to someday doing the Ft Wilderness Segway Tour. It is around $95 but discounts are available for DVC members.

I want to try the Wild Africa Trek at Animal Kingdom. I always see people on this tour while on the safari bus and it looks fun.

I thought they'd discontinued the segway tours due to safety concerns?

Anyway, I'd like to try the Backstage tour when I'm over next...although it is a bit pricey - and with most of HS closed, I'm not sure it'd be worth it!

Found this link for the tours that WDW do though: http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/tours.htm

They cancelled the one in EPCOT. The Wilderness Back Trail Adventure Segway Tour is the only one left.

They did discontinue the Epcot Segway unfortunately, it was great to tour the countries before anyone was back there. The wilderness tour is a bit longer than the Epcot tour. They use the Segways with the big tires so you can do a bit of off-roading. And you get a special pin!

I really want to do this some day, maybe now that Animal Kingdom is going to be a full day park it will make more sense financially to me.

I did find the Wilderness Segway tour on the website but nothing for HS is showing right now.

I think I will try out the segway one and maybe something else. I'm gonna blow the budget on this trip...

For free tours, you can do the Wonders of Wilderness Lodge Tour on Wed-Sat. at 9:00am in the WL lobby and the Jiko/Boma tour at AKL including a few samples. I believe that one is daily at 3:45. We were treated to a mini bread service at Jiko and Carrot Ginger soup and a Zebra Dome at Boma. There used to be a Boardwalk Ballyhoo tour that was also free, but it was discontinued about two months ago because the position that was responsible for conducting the tour was eliminated sad . #thanksshanghai Moral of the story, I would call before I just showed up for one of the freebie tours. I wrote an article for the site a few weeks ago that gave a little bit more in depth info. If you can't find it ion the main page, I shared it to my business Facebook page.

We've done UnDiscovered Future World, but it's been almost 4 years now. It was a cool tour--sort of on the techie side of what makes Epcot tick. At the time, we rode Spaceship Earth and Soarin' with no wait. We talked a lot about the physical characteristics of Spaceship Earth, went to the executive lounge at The Seas, saw the 3D glasses cleaning process, and saw the barges for IllumiNations. Our tour included a pin, 20% off for lunch (either at Nine Dragons or from the choices available we chose Nine Dragons), and served viewing in Italy for IllumiNations.

Thats the pin alright! That is the one for the Epcot tour, there is a separate one for the Wilderness Lodge tour. Sorry I dont have a picture. I like the Wilderness Lodge Segways better. Newer with big ole tires!

We did this tour in November 2012 and we did not get the coupon for 20% off lunch, nor did we get to see the IllumiNations' barges. Ken was really disappointed about that. Not sure if the tour had changed or if it was just the tour guide. It was still a great tour and I would recommend it.

So I booked 3 tours this morning!!!

The Floridian Express at Grand Floridian, it's a new tour!!! It is $15 and lasts and hour

Disney's Grand Floridan Resort & Spa is now offering a one hour walking tour called The Floridian Express. Learn how the heritage and culture of the Resort was influenced by Southern Florida charm during the turn of the century and discover the hotels and individuals who provided its inspiration. The tour also includes a behind-the-scenes look at Victoria & Albert's, which is a AAA Five Diamond Signature Dining restaurant located at the resort.

I also booked Keys to the Kingdom and Behind the Seeds! I'm super excited about all of them!

I'm excited for you!

It's interesting they are charging for a tour in the Grand Floridian??
When Boardwalk, Wilderness Lodge and Animal Kingdom Lodge (w/food samplings) were all free?

I really want to do Keys to the Kingdom tour I hear there is even a special part for the Haunted Mansion which is my favorite ride, but its fitting the time to do it as its a five hour tour.

The only reason I can pull it off this trip is because Joe is golfing and Blondie is in camp! silly Any other time I am super busy or running everyone around!

Ugh I know, I have two days that are opened for out Honeymoon but debating on doing the tour, water park, or universal on one of those days. The last day I kind of want to save if there is something we wanted to do but didn't get to do.

It's not that much awesome and I'm sure it will be well worth it...
just wondering if they will start charging for the other tours too...
as it seems Disney is starting to "sneak" in additional upcharge options these days.... sarcastic

It's a great tour to go on. You get 'priority' on The Haunted Mansion and the Jungle Safari - there might be one more but I can't remember now! It starts around 9, so you even get to come into the park before everyone else as you need to register and select your lunchtime meal and then get to watch the rope drop process begin.

Lunch is at the restaurant just outside the Haunted Mansion at Columbia Harbour and then you'll go in via the servant's door before being allowed out to the doom buggies...

It's well worth 5 hours as you do get to see stuff not normally seen.

Oh, and when the tour finishes, you get out just in time to see the parade and can usually get a decent spot to take pictures from too!
