Just took the plunge!!!!!!

Hello, All! Yes, DH and I just bought 160 points at BLT! We are thrilled!
We got incentives of $800 credit and FREE 3 night cruise for knowing a DVC member. I now have a new hobby, reading here and on the DIS, in addition to the DVC member site.

I know it does not make financial sense for everyone. For a few years, I figured that I could stay a lot of times for the initial outlay of cash. But after running the math all different ways, we decided that this costs less in the long run, gives us more flexibility, lets us pay monthly instead of all at once and lets us stay at nicer places than we have been (tho' we do love POFQ, I think BLT and BC are probably an upgrade!)

Just wanted to share with folks who I know will "get it". (MIL just looked at both of us without smiling and said, "Lotsa luck").

Hi, All! Thanks for the good wishes.

We just booked our first trip today...we are going over President's Day, adding in my 2 personal days.....staying at BLT with MK view .

We banked our 2009 points (UY starts in Feb), so we'll have LOTS for next year.

The cruise is in Sept, Oct, Nov or Dec 2010......new school year, 2 new personal days!We will try to book over Columbus Day weekend so I can add a day...maybe a night at AKV at the end?

Hang in there, Caitiesus, your time will come! DH and I have been thinking about it for 5 years!
