Living with the Land

Never really rode this ride...Didn't know all that it had in it....looks like it might be pretty cool...might have to ride it while we are there....I'm sure it doesn't have a very long line.

O. . .M. . .G!! You must go on this ride! It's a personal favourite of mine. I love food (especially fruits and veggies) and it's neat to see them grown in different ways. If you're lucky, there may be cast members maintaining the gardens while you ride. It's neat to watch them. Sometimes they'll even wave!!

Upon rereading what I wrote, realized that it only sounds exciting due to the amount of exclamation marks I used, laugh .
Give it a shot anyhow, it's entertaining.

I love The Land. My husband and I actually did the Behind the Seeds tour when we were there in June, where you are able to walk through the different areas of the greenhouse and get more information and a closer look at what is growing and the technology they are using. It was really interesting and definitely worth the time/money.

We love this ride! It's really nice and a great "break" on the relaxing boat ride. My husband really wants to do the behind the seeds tour. Absolutely make this a stop on your next trip!

I was at a conference last March and got to eat greens that were grown in the greenhouse. I was so excited that I was eating from the ride!

Okay, this is actually my FAVORITE ride!! I will go on this by myself if my husband doesn't want to go also. I would love to take the behind the scenes tour sometime!

Meh.... I never cared for it. Jess was telling me we need to ride it come November and I told her I've done it before and that was enough. Just doesn't thrill me too much.

i enjoy living with the land, but i was sad when it went to a recording and not an actual person telling us what we were seeing on the tour... it kinda lost its personal touch in my opinion x

I agree. Since they took away the human guide, I have only ridden it twice (and I'm a local AP holder). I used to ride it every visit.

BTW - Sometimes there can be VERY long lines, especially in summer and at holidays, but if there isn't, it's probably because a lot of other people don't enjoy it as much since they went to the recording.

Welcome, Kristen! We're glad to have you here!!

I love The Land. We rode it on our first trip to Epcot way back in 1983, and I've enjoyed sharing it with my children. I love any time that I can mix the educational with the entertainment, and this is a perfect example of that.

I miss when there was an actual guide on that ride too. One time I think it took my family like an hour to get through that ride because there was nobody behind us and we just kept asking questions.

I thought it was neat. My timid 5 year old loved it, lol. But I think he was just happy to ride a boat.

That was how I felt about the Backlot Tour in Hollywood Studios. One year we went and they had a live person, the next year it was the recording, and I was really disappointed. That ride seems even more stale now that they've gotten rid of the live cast members narrating.
