The Magic Cookie Bar.

Ok folks..In an old site of bygone days, I asked if anyone had tried making the Magic Cookie Bar or the 7 layer cake that it's sometimes referred to...The recipe from various people was similar except one thing..When did you pour your sweet condensed milk..Some folk poured it first onto the cracker mix, others poured it on at the end before putting on the final layer of choc chips...Has anyone out there tried making it..I'am going to have another attempt today.. awesome

Sadly it didn't turn out as expected..I should have used a larger tray as the condensed milk base is to thick..It does taste yummy but this needs another shot.. awesome

That looks good. I'm pretty sure you can add or subtract the fillings to your liking if you're going to make it at home.

Recipe below, if interested:

I haven't made them but my mother used to make 7 layer bars and they were delicious. I think she put the chips on last.

My mother used a recipe that was called Dream Bars and minus the sprinkles, it is the same. The condensed milk went on top before chips to avoid the crust soaking.
This my mom's recipe:

My mom used Eagle Brand Condensed Milk and they have a recipe that is the family standard. No sprinkles but no left overs either. All I remember is that they called them 7 Layer Bars and they were good.
