Maharaja Jungle Trek vs. Pangani Forest Trail

Hmm...gorillas vs. tigers, bats vs. meercats...hard to make the decision! Which one do you choose?

That is a TOUGH decision! I think I'll go with Maharaja, though. The Gorilla areas are always so crowded with people, whereas people move through the tiger area pretty quickly. I really do love them both, though.

I could watch those gorillas forever -- I gotta go with Pangani! Our votes will cancel each other out, Annie Smile

Likewise I would pick the Pangani trail, especially now with the addition, in the last couple of weeks,of the new Gorilla baby it will be quite a sight! I would imagine that the trail is even more crowded with people who will be stopping to gawk for even longer than before.

Is the Gorilla baby out on display already?

As I understand it cdub, the baby has been out on display in the gorilla habitat since it was first born. The mother actually gave birth right there at the viewing area and from the reports it caused quite a stir and a commotion. the mother stayed right out there with the baby and the "handlers" were not allowed near by the mother and it was not until a couple of weeks later that they could see it enough to determine if it was a male or female. Subsequently I read that it was determined to be a female.

Wow. I had no idea she gave birth right there in the display. What an incredible thing to see. It would be so amazing to see that little tiny gorilla... wish I was going to WDW before October!

sure hope that link works..
when you go to that site it says page not found, eek BUT scroll down on the left where it says scroll by category, then to Animal Kingdom and click on that and HOPEFULLY that will work. VL

I heard there seems to be some confusion about whether or not the new "girl"illa has a name, yet. Anyone know?

Aw. That's a sweet little gorilla name. Thanks VL!

Say hello to Mrs. VL and tell her again how much we're enjoying the trip report!

If there's a new baby gorilla I might have to change my answer!

Why don't they ever have new baby tigers??

Under normal circumstances, I'd go with Maharaja, but with the baby gorilla in the mix, Pangani for sure.

Pangani Forest Trail is the best we really enjoyed the trails at AK. In each tour we see that something we escaped in our previous tour. We had a breathtaking time and took the great photographs of gorillas last year and we can't wait long time for AK visit. Visit again soon!

Best Regards,
