MDE assistance

Ok Folks
Firstly an apology if this has already been asked ...
When we make our FP+ selections in a couple of days can we make them for both me and Mrs Ferret on the one account ?
We have looked in advance and i am on the friends and family list but not available for selection (does this change on the 60 day mark?).

Thanks in advance

Matt

When you go in to make your selections at 60 days, you should be able to be chosen as long as you are on the reservation. Yeah don't make two accounts, that messes thing up sometimes.

It messes things up terribly. The first time we went down with the MDE and MagicBands it caused a duplicate one to be waiting for me at the resort that had my FP+ selections on it, but not my park tickets... It added another half hour onto every morning for us explaining to concerned looking cast members that I wasn't just using someone else's band for the FP+ reservations.

Very exciting XD

As MrHub mentioned though - at the 60 day mark that option unlocks and you should be golden! Have fun making your selections!!!

I can offer a third confirmation that at 60 days you should be able to access and schedule for both, assuming you are linked together. I did our FP+ selections for both Joe and I using my account.

Yep definitely keep one of you on as a subordinate account instead of creating two. Benn and I used to have separate accounts. I'm sure they're better at dealing with that situation now, but it was a tech support disaster at the time (although we did score a bunch of free stuff for being patient while they worked through the problem).

Make sure that your admission media is linked for both of you prior to the 60-day mark so you don't miss out on the opening of that booking window. I believe if you have not linked tickets to your account, MDE will not allow you to select FP+.

I just went through the 'separate accounts' thing.. FW (is that right for future wife) created our accounts and then sent me a link to create my own.. but then noticed that FP wouldn't be linked. It was funny when we called DVC member services to undo what we did. " I was only following instructions.. and STILL I'm wrong.." hahaha mickey

I have a similar question - as this is the first time we're trying this!

We've booked our room for a two week trip down end of October and first bit of November. My cousin is also planning on coming down, and will be in her own room for one week of our trip. We'd love to book our FP's with them - but I'm not sure that we can since they're on a different reservation.

Has anyone had any experience with this? Are we going to run into issues like the ones above where we create duplicates or end up missing something?

When we booked 3 rooms for our upcoming family trip, the CM told us to only have one account for the trip. She told us if we tried to link everyone together there would be problems. So, to avoid problems that is exactly what we have done.

You should be able to book everything together. If she has her own My Disney Experience account, then you will want to invite to plan and share with her by putting in her email. Then she will get an email/notification on My Disney Experience to accept or decline the invitation. Once she clicks accept, you guys should be able to book everything together.

I'm not 100% sure if you can link her reservation information to your account. You should be able to though. If you can do that, then you should be able to book everything together then. I hope this helps.

I don't know if this bit of information will help anyone or just confuse matters further but hey ho!

my family trip we have 2 rooms we all have separate MDE accounts with our own profile pictures we have accepted eachother as friends and family and said to share everything with everybody and I have managed to link both reservations to my MDE account and although I haven't booked any ADRs or FP+ but when i go to remind us about shows etc it gives me the option to select all 4 of us so I'm hopeful that come ADR and FP days this will work otherwise I'm a little snookered!
