A Disney trip with many firsts

I have been to Disney many times and this upcoming trip (June 24 - June 27) has so many first for me. So here are my first:
1) Going to Disney with my Daughter-in-law Marissa (which is truly my 2nd daughter)
2) Not eating at Earl of Sandwich (day we land)
3) Staying at Pop Century as I have always stayed a moderates seeing I could never get enough money saved to stay at a Deluxe (although it is still my dream). Marissa has stayed at Pop Century before so this isn't a first for her.
4) Only going to Disney for 4 days..wow I still can't believe I agreed to that..but hey it is better to go than not go, right?
5) No park hopper option

So our plan is as follow:
June 24 (land in Orlando at 10 am) we will check in hopefully room will be ready and after I relax a little bit (as am no spring chicken..hehe) we are heading to Animal Kingdom (hopefully around 2:30 - 3:00) and will stay there until 6:30 as we have dinner reservations at Wolfgang Puck Grand Cafe for 8pm (that is a first for both of us)..although am already missing Earl of Sandwich. silly

June 25 Magic Kingdom early to see the opening. A first for Marissa. This will be a long day but we shall survive. Planning on seeing the parade (another first for Marissa and when she goes with my son the haven't ever seen a parade). Trying not to judge my son to much on that one. LOL And will be there until it closes. we have dinner reservations for Be our Guest for 7:50pm

June 26 Epcot our thought is to sleep in and go to Epcot for the day. We have dinner reservations for Rose & Crown for 7:50 pm

Hopefully we will get the following fp's:
Animal Kingdom - Expedition Everest, Kilimanjaro Safari and either Dinosaur or Festival of the Lion King
Magic Kingdom - Thunder Mountain, Space Mountain and Seven Dwarf's Mine train
Epcot - Soarin, Spaceship Earth and Living with the land (seeing we can't pick Test Track yuck )

And the day we are suppose to make our FP's we are coming back from AZ so that will be interesting but at least Marissa will be right there with me in case we don't get what we want.

So what do you all think?

Sounds like fun! You're right--four days feels quick, but any Disney is better than no Disney!

I want to thank you all and yes it should be a blast and that is why Disney will never get old for me because there are so many ways to change it up and experience it like it was the very first time again (will maybe no that because that first time is ever so special).

It's amazing how much you can get done in 4 days. Short trips used to be our only option and we always had a wonderful time, I'm sure you will too!

Your plans sound great! And how lovely to be going with your daughter in law, I'm very lucky in that I get on really well with my mother in law too (excluding our last trip lol), I'd take a trip with her sometime too.

We did 4 days a couple of years back, and yes it did go quickly, but we had a solid plan just like you. I really feel we were able to see and do most things that we wanted to even if things were a bit hectic! Have fun!

Thanks NikkiMouse but am already thinking I really want to stay at POR or POFQ as an really not a 'value' person.don't get me wrong nothing wrong with that but for me I don't think I will be happy (even though I won't be there long) so am thinking I might call Disney to see what the difference will be and if it isn't much am going to move us and surprise my daughter so this could be interesting.

Well I did it. I moved us to POFQ so I guess I can knock one thing of my list of 'many firsts'. Now I haven't told my daughter-in-law (as I would like it as a surprise) but I will see how often she goes into "My Disney Experience". laugh

Thank you Belinda...and I couldn't keep it a secret anymore I had to tell my daughter-in-law to go and check out the surprise. I was very happy that she was very excited about the change. Phew......
