MuppetVision 3D Closing?

I keep seeing rumors online that MuppetVision 3D is going to close in Orlando permanently. Anybody have any information on this? I hope it doesn't, it's one of my favorite attractions, and one of the last projects Jim Henson worked on (and one of his last performances as Kermit, Waldorf, and the Swedish Chef). I also think it's one of Richard Hunt's last performances (he was Scooter, Sweetums, and Statler). People have posted it on YouTube, but it's just so painful to watch there (anyone know where I can get the glasses they give you so it doesn't hurt so much?)

In case you don't know, I'm a huge Muppet nut, and I think Jim Henson was a genius that left the world far too soon (of course, I could also be biased because I'm currently working on my bachelor's degree at the same school Mr. Henson attended, the University of Maryland, which is my home state).

I would be surprised if it did, especially when they are opening Pizzerizzo right next door now. That seemed to solidify MuppetVision 3D's spot for at least a little while.

I concur with Allie.. It would be a shame if it did go away. It's one of our must see shows each time we go to WDW. Can't wait to see the new Muppet show at MK next week. awesome

Thanks, all. I can't wait to see the new one at MK, either, but I've got another month, week, and six days to go.

I agree, they renamed that whole courtyard area to be the Muppets Courtyard, not only did they re-theme that Restaurant to be muppets but they've done an overhaul on the restrooms with a Muppets theme as well. I think that it will be staying.

OK, I have another question. Did they permanently change the pre-show? I was watching someone's video of it on YouTube earlier, and it looks like the pre-show is constantly being "hijacked" by Constantine (Kermit's evil twin) from "Muppets Most Wanted." I haven't been to a Disney theme park since 2012, so I don't know what's going on. Can anyone update me on this?

The pre-show will be due to the second Muppets movie that was released a couple of years back. Until a new movie or show comes out, they're probably going to keep that particular pre-show.
