Newbie from NC

Hi! I've just found you guys. My DH and I are going on a "grown up only" trip to WDW in December for our 10th anniversary in December. We're going to stay at Coronado Springs Resort, and we are thrilled!

Welcome aboard. You're going to love it here! When in December are you going, and have you made and advanced dining reservations (ADRs) yet? Tell us about your trip plans!

We are arriving on a Friday evening and we leave on the following Monday evening. We are only going to be able to do the parks for 2 days so we are planning on doing Hollywood Studios and Epcot. I would really love to stay longer, but we had to arrange child care and flights.

We have made our ADRs Smile I'm one of those get the ADRs 180 days out types and it helps that we got free dining. We are having dinner at Boma, dinner at O'Hana, and breakfast on the morning that we leave at 1900 Park Fare. DH is excited that we are going to Epcot because he is able to eat lunch at his favorite restaurant in all of the world.....Tangerine Cafe.

Sounds like a great itinerary for a long weekend! You'll have to let me know how you like going in December. I'm planning an extended family trip (me, my hubby, my parents and my brother and his family) for December 2012. I've heard the holiday decorations are amazing and I can't wait to see them.

Welcome! Wow - sounds like you have some great meals planned! And the decorations are breathtaking. Be sure to catch the storytelling all around World Showcase - Pere Noel is one of my favorites. Will you try and take in the Christmas Processional at Epcot as well?

We're going to try and get in the Christmas Processional at Epcot, but it will just depend on how crowded it gets. I'm very excited to see all of the different gingerbread houses that I hear the different resorts have.

Yes! They're so charming. One easy way to take in a few is to hop the resort monorail. You'll be able to see the Poly, Grand Floridian, and Contemporary easily that way. As for the Processional, I'm not a big lover of lines, but last year, I joined one to see this - we didn't do the dinner package - and we had no problem getting seats on a weeknight early in the season. A few years back, we opted just to stand in the back and watch - it was fantastic that way, too. Ya just can't go wrong with it, imo. It's magical and captures the spirit of the holidays like nothing else. Good luck!

I am never far away from a mention of the Tangerine Cafe! Apparently I must talk about my obsession a lot. Your husband has excellent taste!
