Party of 6 or 7?

We are thinking about making an ADR with the whole family in January. As I have never travelled with a child before, I'm not sure if babies count. We are 6 adults and my nephew will be 9 months. When booking, would we be a party of 6 or 7?
Thanks for the help mickey

Good question, Spook. I'm not sure what the technical answer is, but I would probably say 7 because if you say 6, they're going to stick the baby's high chair on the end and depending on how crowded the restaurant is, that could make for an cramped meal. Under special requests, can you specify that you need a high chair or the ages of the children on the reservation?

I agree with 7 so you have enough room for a high chair.

Never done this at Disney, but at home when I make a reservation I always include my baby in the head count so that they get a big enough table to accommodate her. She still takes up a seat after all. If you want a high chair ready to go, I would add it in the notes section as Holly and Joann suggested.

Always assume one place at the table for each person, even the kids, so make the reservation for 7.

Some restaurants are better with large groups than others. If you make the reservation online you're likely to get a message telling you that your party could be sat at two different tables. My favorite places for group reservations are Via Napoli and Whispering Canyon. Someone should arrive at the restaurant a little early to talk to the hostess and make sure that they can sit you all at an appropriate table, or that there is space to push two together.

Thanks everyone!
However it looks like we missed out. I was hoping to book Chef Mickey's but it's all booked (there was availability even just this morning but by the time I got the ok from everyone in my party it was gone sad )

Is Mickey at the O'Hana breakfast?

I believe Stitch & friends are at O'Hana. Mickey, Minnie & Goofy and others are at Cape May at Beach Club for breakfast. They will be wearing beach wear. Food is good and interaction with characters is excellent. We will probably have breakfast there again next time we stay at Beach Club. mickey

I found a review of O'Hana on the DFB and it was Lilo, Stitch, Mickey and Pluto mickey We're booked for January!

I've been to Cape May before. It was really good but Mickey is not there and he's the most important character for my nephew.
