Planning Your Farewell Vacation...

Good Morning Everyone...Now lots of my old friends on here from bygone days, will know that my 2015 vacation will be my 6th and final trip..My savings are well under way...I'am still checking out prices for flights, as there not available yet for October 2015 , as are resort prices...Here's the thing..I want to make it the best I can. What special things would you do that you haven't in previous visits...Yes I'll have my ADR choices, and I'll have a list of souvenirs to buy..Now this will be my first in October so I'am looking forward to the Halloween atmosphere and also the Food & Wine will be on...But I'am looking for something really different, something unusual..What are your suggestions please.?...

Happy Birthday yay
Honestly, I can't fathom planning a FINAL trip to Disney sad My suggestions for something different and exciting would be the Disney's Family Magic Tour, which is a guided scavenger hunt around MK, or Epcot DiveQuest, which is scuba diving in the Caribbean Coral Reef aquarium. I even think the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage would be a lot of fun.

I can't even imagine planning my last trip to Disney. That would mean the end of all hope in my heart. One of the things that keeps me going day to day is that I know when I wake up each morning, I'm always one day closer to Disney, even if I don't have a trip planned. May I be nosey and ask why it will be your last trip?

If I were planning a trip that I thought would be my last I would have to try and fit in everything on my Bucket List. Victoria and Alberts would be a MUST, so would staying on concierge level at one of the monorail resorts. I would book a fireworks cruise on the Grand One and take a behind the scenes tour. I think that I would actually spend a lot of the trip relaxing on a bench and trying to sear the images into my brain. I would do a Mickey Mouse meet-and-greet to say goodbye.

sad I'm depressed now... time for more coffee.

Yes there will be tears on my final day.. Sad( .But all good things have to come to an end..This will be my 6th vacation and I feel very lucky even to visit this magical land just the once, never mind six...My DS may be going to university in the near future, and it's all about the mighty dollar..The future holds many surprises, but the reality is that a Disney vacation sets us back in the region of $8000 to $10000..That's a lot of dosh..So that's why I'am 99% sure that it will be the end.. sad

Happy Belated Birthday so to speak!

I personally can't imagine doing a farewell trip to WDW. I'd rather not think about it being the last one so to speak! Sick

Anyway, for this trip, do you whatever you want and interests you the most. If you're into park tours or want to know the ins and outs of the parks, go for a tour! If you want to dine at every signature restaurant that interests you, go for it! The possibilities are endless.

You could think of it as a "see you real soon" kind of trip instead of goodbye. Like Vettlover said, you never know when unexpected pixie dust may sprinkle your way. mickey
