Silly Traditions At WDW...

Good Morning Folks...Ok I've used the search engine to check for this topic under "Silly Traditions " and " Soarin " ...Nothing found...So here goes...Do any of you have any silly traditions you do on rides/attractions.?..For example on Soarin I always take my flip flops off before take off ( don't worry they will be there when you land ) As we soar over the trees I used to tell my DS I could feel the pine branches tickle my toes and when we soar above the surf I would kid on I could feel the sea spray..There's a few more, but over to you folk next.. clapping

this technically isn't a silly tradition that we do but its soarin' related! my mom always takes her shoes off on this ride too but she lifts her legs in the air to get over the trees etc the attempts to "paddle" in the water scenes and in her defence she says she "can't help it" so not so much a tradition but it does happen EVERYTIME she goes on this ride!!!!

on the orginal subject I have a tradition to dance along behind the parades for as long as my mom will stand next to me???????

This isn't a tradition on a ride but my husband likes to take a candid shot of me coming out of a bathroom each trip. I don't find it as amusing as he but this trip the tables turned haha laugh

Well, taking shoes off on a ride isn't that uncommon. Some coasters like the inverted ones with the track on top of the coaster train and the flying position coasters have people take off their flip-flops and ride it barefoot. They probably do that for floorless ones, too. I mean, no one wants to lose a pair of shoes and then walk barefoot for the rest of the day. Lawsuits would be waiting to happen.... eek

Anyway, as for silly traditions, I can't really think of any though in having a value room all to myself with two beds, I do admit alternating nights sleep in each of the beds.

So we do the hat thing as well, but the thing we do with out fail is "MINE, MINE, MINE, MINE !!!" as we approach the Nemo ride in Epcot..

This is a new one for me, but a couple of trips ago, I started visiting Once Upon a Toy in Downtown Disney to make a crazy mr. potato head and taking a picture of it for our photo book.

We also usually try to hit Peter Pan's flight as our first and last MK ride each trip.

Some of our traditional "must do's":

- first night dinner at The Flying Fish

WE have the "MINE MINE MINE" hat and shot glass (son is bassoon player and uses it to soak reeds - yes I believe him because I have a crystal one with the castle on it for my oboe reeds).

I always take off my shoes, but mostly because I am afraid they will fall off and I will be the schmuck asking CMS to look for them and slow down the line.

I always watch the opening ceremony at MK at least once and when we are leaving for the last day at MK, I stop and turn back and say goodbye to the castle.
