Tony's vs Columbia Harbour House

If you had your choice for lunch, which would you choose and why?

Columbia Harbour House

I did Tony's in 2010 and we didn't enjoy the food. The service and atmosphere was great, just found the food kinda boring.

For lunch I would go with Columbia Harbor House. Not because I think the food is better but because to me Tony's would be to heavy of a meal for lunch. However, if you had asked about dinner or if your big meal of the day is lunch, I would go with Tony's.

What are your favorite dishes from both restaurants?

Wife or not, I still have to agree scrappy just because we don't like to eat a big heavy lunch, if we eat lunch at all. Tony on the other hand is definitely where we would eat if we wanted to make it our main meal for the day. We have always had great food at Tony's and some of the other stuff on there menu really looks good.

I am upset they got rid of the Ice Cream Bomb!

Yay! We're going to Tony's for our dinner the night we're in MK. Some of the reviews online weren't that great. I was getting nervous, so this makes me feel a lot better!!

Jamie, its not 5 star dining, but we have never had a problem or a bad meal there.

My biggest problem with Tony's food is that everything seems dry to me. Your chicken parm pic looks great for a food stylist, but that's totally not enough sauce, the noodles are all plain. My daughter's chicken Parm was kinda burnt on the bottom, and they hid that side on the bottom of the plate. In the picture below you can also see the extra meatballs we ordered. They were just little lonely things with no sauce. The lasagna seemed to be noodles/cheese/meat layered but not cooked with sauce, it was just drizzled over the top.

laugh Maybe my family just uses a LOT of sauce, I don't know.

I will say that the pumpkin mousse I had there that was a Halloween Party special, was one of the best desserts that I've ever eaten. I would go back for just that.

Kristen, I think you are correct in saying it depends on how much sause you like. That picture Mr S posted was taken by him and was our actual meal. I probably only eat half of the sauce they serve. I do not like much sauce at all on my pasta. I am very surprised that they would not have made you a new order if you felt that was to well done or given you more sauce for that matter.

We went to Tony's and I didn't hate it but I wouldn't go again. I guess plain comes to mind. Nothing really special about it.

I ate at Tony's my last trip. It reminds me along the lines of Olive Garden. My meal was good but I'm like Kristen the more sauce the better. To each their own. I would like to try Columbia Harbor House this next trip.

I do remember asking for more sauce and I did get it.

Also, I've never been to any Disney restaurant were if you think something is wrong, and you tell your server, that they won't do everything in their power to make it right.

Thanks everyone. We are headed up to Disney this Sunday..... yay We've decided on Columbia Harbour House for lunch and Tony's for dinner (big Lady and the Tramp fan). I'll let you know how they fared when we get back. Thanks again. Loved the pics, MrHub!

NHShorty and I were talking about Tony's this morning....

We ate there two visits ago and found the food and service to be very good, but I don't think I'd ever make an ADR to go to Tony's. My reason is that if I am having a nice, sit-down meal I'd like to have a nice glass of wine or a nice beer to go along with it. Like I said, the whole dinning experience at Tony's is very good, but pairing the meal with a diet Coke lowers the value of the experience.

Therefore, if I were given the choice of eating at the Harbor House or Tony's, I choose Harbor House.

I feel like you can't compare a quick service place to a table service place. I feel like it's comparing apples to grapes both equally good but very different. My philosophy is try everything once. I take tripadvisor reviews with a grain of salt. Some of my favorite places have bad reviews, simply because the family was having a bad day.
