WDW vs. other properties

Who has been to any of the other parks - Disnelyland, Paris, Tokyo, etc? I've been interested to see the other parks if we ever travel to those places. Paris is a real possibility...but would I want to leave the City of Lights to hang out at Disneyland Paris?

I'm very anxious to try DL someday. This forum is actually the primary reason too. So many people talk glowingly about it.

I've only been to WDW but I have always wanted to go to Disneyland or Tokyo Disneyland. Although if I were at Tokyo Disney it would only be for a brief visit..the rest of the time I'd be Japan-ning it.

I've narrowly missed DL Paris so many times Sad I would love to go, but, you're right, it's hard to tear yourself away from wherever you are to get on the train and go to DLP!

I think going to all of them would be really cool - to compare and contrast the differences with WDW. I know that DL is the original, but I think that those of us who grew up going to WDW sort of think it sets the standard....I will definitely keep you posted. I'm hoping to go back to Paris in the next year or so, and I've warned the hubs that I'll want to do a sidetrip to DLP Smile

No one should ever compare DLR to WDW..its seriously apples and oranges. Totally different. DLR is much more laid back. Primarily, I think, because it doesnt matter how much time you are at WDW you are never going to see everything in 1 go. DLR is the complete opposite..if you stay for 4 days youre gonna see just about everything so you arent in that much of a rush...also its much more intimate
