What Are Your Favorite Non-Park Quick Service Spots?

I've got two meals on my next vacation that I don't have any plans for yet, and I'm looking to go off the beaten path to find some fantastic quick service food. No basic burgers or cardboard pizza wanted, I want to find a spot that's worth going out of my way to indulge in a counter service meal that I'll want to write about.

I'm already planning on stopping at these:

  • Geyser Point Bar & Grill

  • Captain Cook's

  • Pepe

  • Sassagoula Floatworks

Where do you think I should go, and what makes that spot so fantastic?

I really want to try P&J's southern take out at Fort Wilderness. Never seem to fit it in our plans or we just go to Trails End lol. I assume it's the same food so I'm assuming it's good lol.

Otherwise we really enjoy Contempo Cafe, Roaring Fork and Wolfgang Puck express.

More of a lounge then a quick service, but we love Victoria Falls. For a more traditional quick service, Capt. Cooks and Polite Pig are both bomb. I've heard really good things about Morimoto Street Food but we haven't tried it yet, just the table service side.

Oh! P&J's southern take out sounds great! I had thought about doing Trail's End, but I just don't eat that much at a buffet. I didn't realize that there was a take-out options. Looking at the menus Crocket's Tavern also has a couple of yummy looking options on it. That will actually be perfect for the day I'm just hanging around the resort. I could boat over to Fort Wilderness after the Torch Lighting ceremony. Love it! muchlove
