What Disney Restaurant would you choose and why?

We're looking to add one more ADR to our 9 day stay. We want to do this on Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday) as a special dinner, but are not sure where we want to go. Need your help.. Please choose where you would dine and tell me why you chose it over the others... Thanks!!

Plans that Day: Magic Kingdom for morning and early afternoon... Back in evening for Fireworks

Since it is Mardi Gras how about Narcoossees? I think the food there is great! and also a very good place to watch the Fireworks from the Patio on the water outside the dining room. This is also on the monorail should you want to go back to MK

Very difficult choice. I voted for Flying Fish because I had a fantastic meal there before the refurb and I've heard multiple comments that it's even better now than it was before.

For Mardis Gras I think I'd go to Art Smith's Homecoming. But it's my favorite new Disney Restaurant, so I may be biased.

Thanks for all of your input..

After some careful consideration we decided on SANAA yay

The bread service is outstanding and the butter chicken is to die for.. Even my 9 year old daughter, vividly remembers sampling the butter chicken three years ago, and is very much looking forward to getting her own plate of butter chicken. Obviously, seeing the African wildlife out the windows at the restaurant are an added plus.

Thanks again, everyone!! awesome

My husband and I loved the Jungle Navigation Co. Ltd. Skipper Canteen, we had an amazing server, I wish I could remember his name. We both love the Jungle Cruise and the dry witty humor and they keep with the theme completely in the restaurant. We were both in stitches at one point. Food was also very good, we shared an appetizer and an entree and it was the perfect amount of food for two. We had the S.E.A. Shu Mai which is kinda like gyoza a little spicy but very delicious, and then we had the Char Siu Pork this was sweet but I almost didn't get any because my husband absolutely loved it. To drink we had watermelon soda and we had to sip because it was so delicious we wanted to chug it.

Choosing one restaurant is darn near impossible, our top 5 (and I must admit that we haven't done that many Disney restaurants) are:

1. Sanaa, the food, the bread service, the atmosphere, and the animals just outside the window, wow.
2. Whispering Canyon, going to a Disney restaurant to receive an unconventional, and not particularly Disney, level of service, would seem to be the last thing anybody would want to do, but the cast here pull off a hysterically funny, abrupt level of service you can't help but enjoy. (You probably already know about this, but when your food arrives, ask for some ketchup).
3. Tusker House, this restaurant has the trifecta of items you want from a Disney restaurant. Breath-taking theming, you HAVE left America and are now somewhere in Africa. Characters, this place has the fab five what more can you ask for. Food, the array of food available here is awesome, from child-friendly to a little bit of spice.
4. Skipper Canteen, food and theming, nothing more to add.
5. San Angel Inn Restaurante, amazing Mexican food, served inside a Mayan temple, with a volcano in the background that erupts periodically.

There are plenty more that we thoroughly enjoyed include Cinderella's Royal Table, Be Our Guest, Sci-fi Dinner, but I think the five above are top of our list...

...until next time.

Totally agree with Tusker House! We ate there for the first time on our last trip and LOVED it! Sanaa bread service is delicious too. Animal Kingdom Lodge is on my list to stay at just so I can get some bread service for a late night snack muchlove

Joe and I love to sit at the bar with a cocktail and bread service. I wish I was there now!
