What's Out Your Window?

Outside my window is a giant tree (with branches that need to be cut, if anyone has a chainsaw and is interested), a dog park, and a very busy highway. How about you? biggrin

I'm at my mother inlaws right now....she has the most amazing veiw of the ocean.

uh.. out my window are the 3 cars in the driveway.. and the 5 feral neighborhood cats that live at my house that we feed.. one of them just had kitties two weeks ago so they're here too.
so uh.. that makes.. umm... 9.

9 wild cats around my house.

um.. anyone want one?

We just finished this last weekend - a retaining wall and compost flower bed around the tree in the backyard, looking out our den window.

Of course I made it Disney-esque with the Mickey Welcome sign! Joe would not let me make it in the shape of a giant Mickey ear.... laugh

Where in the US are you? I'm in Los Angeles and all of our houses are a LOT closer together. Sad Also, we dont have a lot of trees.

We're in Charlotte. We picked an established neighborhood this time with lots of mature trees - it makes us really happy!

Gus and Dora would like a few of those kitties, but I think their intentions are not entirely honorable... eek

Mum would take everyone, we only had 18 for lunch, so yeah she'll take you dolly Smile We actually got married in her backyard.
Out my spare room window is more ocean. Out my turret window is a suburban intersection.

Right now we are in our basement watching the hockey game and there is one little window but the blind is always closed and it's dark out anyways so i'll say nothing Smile

For about 15 minutes, we had apocalyptic rain. The sky went black and it poured and now it's clear again. It's done that several times in the last few days.

Earlier...there was a city utility truck behind my house. Always terrific to see when you back up to woods...and you're still in your jammies! (Once a year, they come through and cut down the brush, and clear the area around the creek behind the houses in our subdivision, so that when we get the potentially torrential rains, the water has someplace to go. Still...very weird to see a truck backing up behind your house...)

Jeff - that's beautiful...and that tree must be HUGE!!

The always pleasant garden state parkway complete with police sirens. I've come to find the traffic and cop noise very soothing at night! Now I have a hard time sleeping when it's too quiet.

Yes. That is my Simply Orange Orange Juice. Its like my coffee in the morning since im not allowed to have caffeine.

A dumpster. True story..we just got a new roof put on today & they are picking the dumpster up tomorrow.

FYI, getting a new roof is LOUD. Glad I was at work most of the day so I didn't have to hear it.
