This is a tough one. For everyday shows, I'd say Illuminations. For seasonal shows, Holiday Wishes during MVMCP gets my vote. They were spectacular.

If you can see regular Wishes from there, I imagine you could see Holiday Wishes too.

Does anyone know for sure?

I know that you can watch HalloWishes from there, I can't imagine the Holiday show would be any different. They should pipe in the music too!

To be honest I have only seen Fantasmic (that's why I voted for it). I would love to see all the rest - I hope to be able to at least see Illuminations when I am there.

I love Fantasmic! However I have yet to see a show that I didn't like! What makes Hallowishes so awesome? Is there anything that really stands out? I'm hoping to go to MNSSHP next year. I've never been and want to so bad!

I'm going to see all of them this year with newbies. I have 4 days until I go with two disney newbs. I'm so excited to see all of this through their eyes. I just finished packing. My friends are driving down from Ohio...I'm flying in Smile
I bought a small bottle of Maker's Mark and some airline bottles of flavored absolute bottles for the room. My friends will be celebrating their anniversary and a birthday during this trip.
I'm so excited yay stars yeah banana banana banana

Hands down, Illuminations for me. Disney took a risk with this one because (i) it has no Disney theme or characters involved, and (ii) it is the least Disney-like shows in the parks. And the music is second only to Tapestry of Nations as my most favorite Disney theme park music.

If you're in the park watching the show there are simple castle projects (pumpkins, ghosts, zero) that go along with it. There's a lot of red, orange, green, and purple lighting on the castle. Fireworks also mirror those colors. The soundtrack for it is pretty fantastic, it incorporates the villains and their theme music. It always feels very high energy to me, it's not sweet and dreamy like Wishes. There's also a fantastic finale with a more panoramic burst of fireworks from 4-6 locations that is awesome.

I've actually watched the show from Top of the World more than I have seen it in the park and I even love it from a distance. We won't be going to the party this year but I am not missing those fireworks!

To help a little bit with Kristen's poll, here are the videos that I took of the various shows (sorry, no Fantasmic. I've had rotten luck with videotaping that one).

Wishes

Illuminations

HalloWishes

Holiday Wishes

I'll also add another one that's no longer around, which is Magic, Music, and Mayhem, which was shown during the Pirates and Princess party.

There! Those should help you with the polls! Smile

As much as I love Wishes, I think my favourite show is the Electrical Water pageant! I can't get enough of the cheesy midi-file music clapping

I keep coming back to this thread thinking I have an answer, and I truly don't. I wasnt a fan of Illumniations. I thought it was super boring. But I have seen Wishes in its full glory either. Last time we saw it... we were back in Fantasyland watching the fireworks. So we didnt get to see what was out front. But my favorite nighttime show may sound dumb... but I enjoy coming back to AKL with a Savanna view and chillin on the balcony... chillin with whatevers animals may still be out there.

Did you get to see the Holiday version of this departed show? The candy cane and gingerbread castle were spectacular.

No, I haven't seen that...We were there on September 2nd this year and didn't realize they were stopping it on the 4th. Wish I would have watched it. I seem to remember we were walking toward The Haunted Mansion when I heard it coming on - which was weird because it was after the fireworks. Maybe the new Celebrate the Magic show will be playing by the time I go next month.

I like Fantasmic a lot so I voted for that one since I can see it every trip, but we experienced HalloWishes for the first time this trip and LOVED it! DH and I are not generally fireworks people but HalloWishes was incredible!

I gave this a lot of thought. I had to go with Wishes. I do think Fantasmic is the most unique show and that everyone needs to see it at least once. I also think everyone should see Illuminations once. However, while both of those shows are really good and even unique in their own way, neither give me the warm fuzzy feeling that watching Wishes does.

Illuminations wins for me. I'm not really a super huge fireworks person, but it inspires me. And that's pretty cool. There are also things that I never even noticed until I saw it, like the big torches around the lagoon. I love how the World Showcase pavilions light up, too, and that there are good vantage points all over to see it.

The only one we have ever really seen was Illuminations and I didn't really care for it. We have seen Wishes but like hubby said once we were over in Fantasyland and the other time it was from outside of the Magic Kingdom so we didn't get the full effect. Every year we say we are going to see all the fireworks shows...Maybe this year we will actually get it accomplished.

I can't always make it to the nighttime shows, I just wear out too fast when I start the day early. I never made it to Top of The World last week. Sad
