Wilderness Lodge Silly Scenario Question..

Please forgive my ignorance here..It's a Monday night and my DW and I are looking at the proposed park hours for October..I explained to my good lady that the only transport to MK from WL is by boat..Is this correct.?...So she says to me." what if the boats aren't sailing due to a thunder storm.?.... ....Please keep me correct before I put my foot in it..Which transport gets us to MK if the boats aren't sailing...

You should be able to catch a bus...and that is about a 10 minute ride more or less.

I recently asked this question on the Disney website because we are thinking of staying at the WL. Buses transport to/from the WL to/from all 4 parks. It is up to management whether or not they shut the boats down. I was told it usually takes thunder and/or lightning, not just rain, for them to close down the resort boats.

There is a bus to MK. The boat is so much better but when all else fails hop that bus.

Yep..We had to dock at the Swan & Dolphin one year due to thunder & lightning..Iam sure I read in the " Unofficial Guide " that a weakness about WL was that a boat was the only transport to MK...

Disney Bus Transportation: The bus stop at Disney's Wilderness Lodge is located a short walk from the lobby.

We only bused from MK to WL one time and I do remember the bus stop being a short distance from the lobby, though I would say no farther than the main bus stop is from the lobby at PORS.
