New Pre-Parade Street Jam Planned For MNSSHP

Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party(MNSSHP) is almost here, and this year Disney has a new street jam planned to take place before the party's Boo To You parade.

The new addition to this year's MNSSHP is called, appropriately enough, the Not So Scary Street Jam! and will take place on Main Street U.S.A. Look for the jam to begin sometime between the Headless Horseman's ride through the Magic Kingom and the start of the Boo To You parade.

Orlando Planning New Sculptures Around Its Downtown Area

If you ask anyone what structures come to mind when you mention central Florida, Cinderella's Castle or the Epcot Ball are certainly forerunners in the answer. Orlando is looking to bring some of that notoriety within its city limits with plans to add nine large, new sculptures in its downtown area, and they are also looking for ideas from artists worldwide.

Don Your Best Duds for Dapper Day

Ever get the feeling you want to keep the shorts and flip flops in the hotel room and dress up to head out to the park? You're in luck. Dapper Day is coming up soon - a day for guests to don some dressier clothes to take in Disney's Hollywood Studios.

According to organizer Justin Jorgensen, the idea for Dapper Day came from spotting some old Imagineer drawings in which guests going to Epcot were dressed to the nines. His thought? "Wouldn't it be really great if just for once we could make these illustrations come to life?"

Final "Magic, Memories" Show Slated for September 4

Those of you wishing to catch the projection-drive nighttime showing of "The Magic, the Memories and You" at Disney's Magic Kingdom have only a handful of days left to do so. The final showing is set for September 4.

"The Magic, the Memories and You" has been around since 2011. In what's become a kind of pre-show for the Magic Kingdom's nightly fireworks display, sixteen projectors turn Cinderella's Castle into a screen of sorts for pictures of that day's guests of the park.

Chat With Disney Imagineer Reveals Reimagined Test Track Details

Today over at the Disney Parks Blog, a live chat was held with Imagineer Melissa Jeselnick. The Imagineer revealed some details about the currently-being-revamped Test Track in Epcot.

First off, Jeselnick said guests can expect a totally different queue area, noting it "will look like nothing guests are used to seeing it look." The design aspect of automotives will dominate the queue; look for "items, sketches, cars and models from GM that have never been seen outside the Chevrolet family."

New World of Sports Food Truck

Those of you heading out to ESPN Wide World of Sports at Walt Disney World might want to keep your eyes peeled for a new food truck - the Tailgate Grill.

Guests lining up to sample the Tailgate Grill's wares will be able to hear the ESPN SportsCenter theme song. The new fast eating option also has bean-bag tosses near it; there could be plans in the works to add basketball hoops and TV nears the truck in the future.

Cast Members Donate 3.1 Million School Supplies

Walt Disney World cast members were busy earlier this month with a back-to-school supply drive to raise supplies for low-income families in central Florida. Their efforts were a success with over 3 million items, including some 13,000 backpacks, collected. In fact, the amount of pencils, erasers, crayons, rulers and the like collected by the cast members over a three-week period was enough to fill five school buses.

The school supplies will help fill a growing need, acording to Orange County superintendent Barbara Jenkins:
