    Epcot's French Bakery To Expand

It looks like the Boulangerie Patisserie, the French bakery area in Epcot's World Showcase, will be expanding and undergoing enhancements in the future.

Not too long ago, Disney World filed a notice of commencement with Orange County, Florida, to enlarge the bakery. A second floor addition, a counter-service restaurant and a 3,000 square foot kitchen are on tap for expected improvements.

Dole Whip Shirts Now In Disney Parks

Grab 'em while they're hot. Make that cool. Whatever way you slice it, foodies will love the new shirts in Disney parks featuring the iconic Disney treat Dole Whip.

Marvel Characters Coming To A Park Near You?

Spiderman and Captain America alongside Mickey and Minnie at Magic Kingdom? Though it might sound a little farfetched, it looks like Disney has some plans in the works to incorporate Marvel comic characters into its theme parks.

Rumors on the subject have been around since Disney acquired Marvel in 2009, and to date, the only such Marvel characters to be found in the parks are on merchandise. According to President and CEO Bob Iger at Disney's annual shareholders meeting last Tuesday, Disney is working on some ideas to bring the characters into the parks and attractions.

There are three elements to Heroes Work Here. First, Disney will hire and train 1,000 servicemen and women over the next three years. Second, Disney will seek to ease the transition into civilian life for the vets and their families. Third, a national public awareness campaign is planned to help encourage all sectors of business to hire those who have served the country.

    Epcot Segway Tour To Close

If you want to experience a segway tour at Epcot with a nature influence, you have until early July to do so. Disney has made plans to close the Nature-Inspired by Design Segway Tour on July 3, 2012.

The tour, which dates back to 2009, gives guests a chance to interact with Disney cast members and scientists as well as see how nature inspires their work environments. In addition, the three hour tour lets guests ride on a Segway X-2 in an offroad, backstage area of Epcot.
