Five Must Try Sweet Snacks at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Looking for something to feed your sweet tooth at Disney's Animal Kingdom this summer? While we know that this Park is one of the very best savoring snacking destinations in Disney, that doesn't mean that lovers of all things sweet will be left out. We've gathered together a list of five of our favorite sweet treats to sip, nibble, and nosh your way through Disney's Animal Kingdom.

Kusafiri Coffee Shop located near Animal Kingdom's popular Kilimanjaro Safaris is the go-to place for many Disney foodies to grab a sweet snack. With a full selection of popular pastries from Elephant Ears to Paw Print Brownies you'll find a little something for everyone. Our pick? The African Spice Cake, Kusafiri's version of a coffee cake, this little slice is sweet but not overwhelming with it's short dough crust and thick cream cheese filling all layered in with a spiced cake and a crunchy oatmeal streusel topping.

Last Year Tamu Tamu Refreshments in the Harmbe Village started serving up one of the holy grails of Disney foodie finds. The classic, silky smooth, pineapple soft serve known as Dole Whip - and not only has this much loved treat come to the Park, but at Disney's Animal Kingdom you can order it grown-up style, spiked with either dark or coconut rum.

Yak & Yeti Local Food Cafes (quick service side of the popular Yak & Yeti Restaurant) offers up a Mini Mango Pie that has been deemed by Disney Food Blog "winner of the dessert wars." Sweet bed of crumbled graham. It may even be better than the original version of the pie served in the restaurant Just try not to tease the monkeys with it as they swing overhead in the old temple.

For us - no stop in Dinoland would be complete without a stop at Dino-Bite Snacks for an Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich. This is no ordinary ice cream sandwich; this is rich, thick vanilla ice cream smooshed between two huge freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. It's simple delicious. If you're not into cookies, the fabulous hand scooped ice cream here can be served up in a waffle cone, or Hot Fudge Sundae style.

Yak Attack from Yak & Yeti Quality Beverages is one of my favorite drinks on property and a sweet way to sip your snack on a sunny day. Mango daiquiri with Bacardi Light Rum and wild berry syrup make for a delightful frozen cocktail in the afternoon while relaxing in the lush environment of Anandapur.
