Two Restaurants Announced for Disney Springs: Morimoto Asia and The BOATHOUSE

As Downtown Disney continues its transformation into Disney Springs, two new restaurants have been announced for the area.

The first restaurant, Morimoto Asia, is from world famous celebrity Chef Masaharu Morimoto and will features dishes from all over Asia. It will be Chef Morimoto's first Pan-Asian restaurant.

The restaurant will feature a two-story layout with open terraces, a grand hall, private rooms, and exhibition showcase kitchens. The showcase kitchens will exhibit street-food stalls, Peking duck carving, and dim sum.

Morimoto Asia will be located in The Landing, formerly Pleasure Island, and is scheduled to open in the summer of 2015.

The second new dining location is The BOATHOUSE which is part of Schussler Creative, the group that also brought Disney the Rainforest Cafe, the T-Rex Cafe, and Yak & Yeti in Disney's Animal Kingdom.

The BOATHOUSE features a nautical theme and will give guests an upscale, waterfront dining experience complete with boats from the 1930s, 1940s, and 1950s. Guests will also be able to take a romantic cruise aboard The Venezia, a 40-foot wooden Italian Water Taxi. Guided Amphicar rides will also launch from the restaurant's docks.

The menu at The BOATHOUSE will feature steaks, chops, fresh seafood, and a raw bar. The restaurant will also have three bars: The Captain's Raw Bar, The Admiral's Club Bar, and The Dock Bar. Other areas include The Runabout, Twin Transoms, and The Lake House.

The BOATHOUSE is scheduled to open in the spring of 2015 at The Landing.

I'm super excited that Disney Springs is getting a Morimotos, but The Boathouse sounds like so much fun to me! These are both on my future trip must try lists!
