I have really enjoyed reading all the entries in the blog carnival! Is there going to be a "winner" per say or is it just a collection of great blogs?

They just list them all, but if you want to engage in some completion, Dismarks itself lets you vote on all the stories. So if you like any in particular you can go vote them up!
