Jan/Feb/March

We've only been to WDW in early December and love it at that time of year (low crowds, good weather and the holiday season extras).

How does it compare in Jan/Feb/March? is it as warm and how busy can things get? Are there any special events worth watching out for?

We love the weather at that time of year. Downright chilly sometimes, which suits us fine. The crowds on the other hands are highly unpredictable. Sometimes they're low, but we've actually had really bad crowds at that time of year too. Very hard to predict.

Usually Jan/Feb have great, cool weather. The holiday weekends (Martin Luther King and Presidents Day) can get crowded, and Spring Breaks start at the end of Feb, but otherwise crowds are manageable. Problem is, the hours for the parks are really short, and the big e-ticket rides are often in rehab at this time of year.

March is Spring Break for a lot of schools, so that's kind of a no-go as far as crowds.

It seems we'd have to pick our time very carefully to avoid the holidays and refurbs then.

Yeah -- it's a tough time to go if you want to be able to do a LOT of stuff. The short park hours and refurbs will throw a wrench in your plans once in a while. That said, most of Jan and Feb are very relaxing with low crowds and cool temps. I think it's a good time to go, but if there's only one trip each year, I'd pick early December over Jan/Feb. mickey

Bali's point about the hours is really good too. It's kind of weird that at 9 or 10 at night there's essentially NOTHING left to do. The weather on the other hand is divine!

We've been to Disney at various times of the year and honestly late January/early February was our favorite time to go. The weather was niceish..I'd say 60's during the day and a bit colder at night..but you don't sweat to death. The crowds were unpredictable..the weekends were more crowded than the weekdays of course.
Early March was ok if you can deal with a cheerleader invasion!

We don't mind it warm, it makes a change from the British rain. Having nothing to do after 9 or 10 at night might be a problem though. Travelling with 4 adults and no kids means we'll be looking to evening entertainment as well as day time.

It's looking like we may be better off sticking to our usual early December visit and resolving the problems getting time off work if possible.

I think that would be my choice based on my experience. There's so much offered during the holiday season, and there's SO much to do. Plus, those extra hours that the parks are open can make a big difference.

Let us know what you end up doing mickey
