Jungle Cruise Movie

Could another ride be about to make it onto the big screen?

"This film is going to be loosely based on the theme park ride. Rumor has it that a group of people will be taking a cruise into the jungle in search of some sort of cure. Of course, along the ways they will be meeting up with dangerous animals and reptiles. Originally, the release date on this was 2006-7, but continues to experience delays. Details are subject to change."

I don't think this would be as successful as the Pirates.

Oh, good grief. Yes, I love Disney...but enough with the ride movies. I think one reason Pirates worked was that it was such a crazy concept, basing a movie on a ride. Now (another) Haunted Mansion, and this? What's next? "The Astro Orbiter Blasts Off to Mars"? "Dame Judy Dench Rides Spaceship Earth"? (Haha...actually, I would watch Judy Dench in anything Laughing out loud)

At least make it a comedy in keeping with the attraction.

If Tim Allen and Tom Hanks are on board (and somewhere, I've seen now that Disney released a statement confirming they are) then I will say it should be good. I'm not totally "Heck yeah!" but at least I'm watching with interest now. More interest than "Haunted Mansion" anyway.

If those two got together in a live action movie, I think that could be a real scream!

Pirates was good they came up with good stories and likable characters.

Haunted Mansion could have been good, but they didnt try hard enough.

Maybe they learned their lesson and will pass it on to this movie?

Yes, I think so. I think they learned their lesson when they cheapened the brand for the first HM movie. And someone mentioned the other day that there was a ToT movie too...I had forgotten about that one. Was it actually a theatrical release? I can't remember.

yes, we borrowed it from the library, it starred Steve Guttenberg and kirsten Duenst. I think the date was 2002. Not impressed but haven't actually sat down and watched the whole thing, I think Riley watched it.

I haven't seen Tom Hanks do anything bad..well..in a REALLY long time. So if he's on-board I am willing to think it's a pretty good script.
