Noro Virus

Sick I have not encountered any problems but I am hearing reports on other boards about people getting sick from the Noro Virus while in Orlando.

I know the Mousekeeping was being DILIGENT at our hotel.

Anyone else have any news? Could be just folks who partied too hard or stayed in a dodgy hotel.

I have only found small reports in the orlando area. A charter school closed due to a total of 25 children were sick and they wanted to take all steps to control. Nothing seems to mention the resorts in the local media.

So glad. We survive Winter Storm Cato. We don't need to survive any Virus outbreak.

I haven't really heard anything yet, but I was reading an interesting article earlier today and it was talking all about the interactive queues and their germ spreading capabilities. It gave me a bit of pause.

Do you think waiting in queue at Disney will be "germier" now?

I don't overly obsesses over germs. I make my own hand sanitizer so I carry it with me all the time. The key is to wash your hands! Think about all of the hand rails and door knobs.

I saw a kid licking the poles on the monorail station at MK. His mother was ignoring him while she gripped about another child sneezing. Um... She might have been missing the point.

I've been offline for about a week, but not due to the Noro Virus. Everybody at the office cheered when they found out I snagged a Dr appointment. They were tired of listening to me cough up a lung. Unfortunately it was close out and I had to be there. Dr said I had the "creeping crud," aka upper respiratory infection. I would go to work, come home and go to bed. Nobody else in the family has caught it so far. (Knock on wood). Now on an antibiotic so should be feeling better soon. Glad to be back online and looking forward to catching up with everybody!

Ewwwwww. My wife is a bit of a germophobe so we'll be well prepared with hand sanitizer.

OUCH that must have hurt!! I did find something to help with the cough. DD reminded me of something we used years ago. Added a little honey and lemon and DH and I both slept like babies! Hey Watchmaker, I understand this is pretty good stuff. Do you agree? laugh
