Just throwing an idea out there. I think it would be great to have a WDWFGU convention! Meet-ups and socialising with other members, some special Disney backstage tours/seminars and I believe discounted Disney hotel rooms! I know it would be a task to organise it, but imagine it was to go ahead, what would you want to see on the itinery? Would you want to attend or do you prefer to keep Disney for vacations?

I think it would take place at the new "WDW For Grownups Resort" built on "The New Discovery Island" that is in the middle of Seven Seas Lagoon so we can watch wishes every night.

I'm used to doing the meet-up & convention thing at Disney, so I would totally be in. I'd plan some structured events, and a couple less structured so that people could enjoy their Disney time too.
When: 3 Nights in October. Probably a Wed/Thur/Fri or Sat/Sun/Mon
Where: Yacht or Beach Club room block (because I haven't stayed there yet)
Day 1
Welcome Night Illuminations Dessert Party
Day 2
Morning Seminars of some sort (what would you want to hear? vendors? travel planning? Disney secrets/history?)
Evening Food & Wine Festival Sip, Stroll & Snack (with AJ joining us of course)
Day 3
Keys to the Kingdom Tour (or) Theme Park ride-a-long (Hollywood Studios? Animal Kingdom?)
Group Dinner at Ohana (because I think we should all get up and learn the hula)
Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party (in costume with a parade meet up at the shooting gallery)
Day 4
Cape May Cafe Character Breakfast
... And of course there would be awesome convention swag.

Where I come from, statements like that are akin to volunteering to be in charge. 
If this ever happens I'm definitely in. I might not do everything, but F&W Fest, Ohana, MNSSHP, and Cape May breakfast, definitely.

Ummm...I'm about 95% sure I could take this challenge on during the summer.

I have to pick vacation days for 2014 this fall. I'm on a cruise the end of sept 2014 but would happily commit to any other time during the f&w...

This sounds like a lot of fun - if Brad is on board and it does become a reality, I'd volunteer to be a helper... couldn't be the chief organizer, but would be willing to help out.
