Every trip we go we have a different favorite ride. I guess it's not really my favorite because I still love my overall favorites the most, but I guess I mean "ride I hadn't appreciated until that trip." I think the last trip it was Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. I really enjoyed just a whole bunch of things about it more than I ever had before. What was your ride that you gained appreciation for on your last trip? (Or am I the only one like this?)
What was your favorite ride on your last trip?
I guess mine is not "a ride" but more of an attraction but we got a kick out of The Laugh Floor. We just thought it was great..and it was a little rainy that trip so we took advantage of the rain and saw it about ten times! I always hoped Dave would be "that guy" but he never was.
Good question. I find that happens once in a while, too. On certain trips, we just have a stand-out attraction that we learn to appreciate in new ways.
On last year's trip, it was probably Mission:Space. We hadn't ridden it in so long that it seemed new again. And we saw all kinds of things we hadn't before.
Oh, also Living with the Land.
My last trip to Disney was 2 years ago and I think it was the first time that I was able to appreciate the hall of presidents show (and stay awake). Before then, even when I was in high school, I would skip it or use it for an air conditioned nap. I'm not dying to go back and see it again, but the last time I went I did think the history lesson was neat and I did feel all patriotic and American lol. I think in 8 visits it was the first time I actually watched and listened to it.

I was a pretty nerdy kid too and I even liked history, but those kind of attractions are hard to get into when you want to go ride all the cool things. No matter how much of a nerdy history bookworm I may have been, history has problems comparing to Splash Mountain. I actually never went as a kid, but had similar experiences elsewhere.
Let's see, last trip we finally went to see the American Adventure. I really enjoyed it...couldn't believe that we had missed it on all of our previous trips.
I guess it's kind of like "home town" attractions. You know...the ones that you only ever go to when you have an out of town guest :-}

I've had that experience with several of the Epcot country attractions. They are really kind of fun.

We had done all of the other Epcot attractions...just never got around to the American Adventure. I especially love the Canadian Circlevision. Must be the Mounties

We are the same way..but we've never done the American Adventure...we usually just say "Ohh America..we've been there.." and keep moving. I know it's awful of us because I've always heard how wonderful it is.
Once we really went all out in Epcot and watched every movie/show..whatever in the countries and we really enjoyed it! It was a very low-key day but it was fun. I guess that's the luxury of traveling without kids.
American Adventure -- I have never made it through that show! I literally have fallen asleep EVERY SINGLE TIME I've sat down in that theater. Not that I mind, mind you, but I basically use that attraction as a midday nap (I think Caitie does too...).
We did like the Canada movie though!
Back on topic, my favorite ride last trip was the same as it always is -- Tower of Terror!
Zipadeedoodah -- yeah, man
It has been a while since we last went, BUT my favorite attraction that really surprised me was the animation academy. We went because it had started to rain and it was an indoor attraction. I can NOT draw, so I always avoided this. It amazed me how well my drawing turned out and I sat in that room for about 4 different drawings.

I still haven't been there! Thanks for the reminder to hit that spot this Fall. I really think this is a great, "free" experience to take advantage of.
(Now, be sure to remind me one more time before October...cause I'll forget again.)
I LOVE AA. It's a great experience every time and it's always different depending on the CM. I'm not sure it was our favorite but the Jungle Cruise was a highlight for us the last trip because I had no idea how fun it is. I had only been as a child and it is completely different through adult eyes.

Do you have a picture?!? I've always been impressed with people's results there.
We did AA on our last trip too...really enjoyed it. We drew Sorcerer Mickey and were able to have Mickey sign it afterwards. It came out pretty well...much better than the drawing I did at DisneyQuest!!

I don't have one, but I can see if I still have the drawings saved and if I do . .. I will take a picture of them.
I would LOVE to be able to draw anything! Thanks for the reminder of this fun place.
I started a thread for our Animation Academy drawings:

Most of us probably don't have them yet, but remember to get one next time you're there and post it!

I started to just answer the question, but that made it seem like I actually knew the answer off the top of my head. I liked this idea better.
Is there still one in DisneyQuest, too?
