What's the longest you've stood in line?

What is the longest you have stood in line for a ride or show?

We always go off-season so it's not too bad but for our honeymoon which was in the summer we stood in line for the Nemo show for almost 2 hours! Crazy!

years ago before fast passes it would not be unusual to wait an hour and a half for space and thunder mountain regularly. and i remember one time at universal studios waiting 2.5 hours for earthquake and jaws

At Disney, I don't think I've ever waited more than 40 minutes as we always go at a quiet time. I once joined a queue at a UK park that was posted as 40 minutes that ended up being around 90.

When the newest roller coaster at Seaworld, Manta, opened in the summer of 2009 we waited in line for over 3 hours. Only to get one stairway from the loading platform and have the ride evacuated due to smoke coming from the coaster. We never found out what happened and it was closed for the rest of the day. sad But we rode it a few months later (after waiting for another 2 hours) and it was great!

When Rocket Rods came out at DL I waited 4 hours for it...and it was totally a lame ride! Although when Star Tours reopened here the line stretched down Main Street and was 8 hours long....crazy!

Last year by accident we got stuck in line for ToT and it was around an hour and 15 minutes I think. While we were in line it was supposed to be like a 15 minute wait, but then it turned longer... and ended up they were down to one elevator. So yeah... if it wasnt going to be Jess's first time on it... I would had jumped out.

I don't think I've ever had a Disney line over half an hour...but I'd be willing to wait more because I'm from the Midwest and often go to Cedar Point, and in the heart of the summer pretty much EVERY coaster there has an over an hour wait. I think the longest I waited in was a 2-hour Top Thrill wait...since i think it broke down TWICE while I was waiting: and that's a lot shorter than others have waited for it. Especially crazy because I think the ride is only actually 7 seconds long!

Wow! What do you think of Cedar Point? We were thinking of visiting this summer.

The longest wait I've had at Disney was for Peter Pan's Flight. I don't recall how long the wait was.

I waited in line for over an hour several years ago to go on a roller coaster at Hershey Park.

Waited 90 minutes for Toy Story Mania once because all of the fast passes were gone and 60 minutes for Soarin for the same reason!

I'm really not sure what the longest I've waited for a ride, but I've waited the longest to see Fantasmic!

When it first opened at Disneyland 20 years ago I waited 3 Hours, camped out on the river for a good seat. Honestly, people still wait that long, just not as many. In 2010 I think I waited 2 Hours to see it at Hollywood Studios. Was it worth it? In California, absolutely I would do it again. In Florida, maybe not so much.

I waited 3 hours years ago when Splash Mountain was in its soft opening at Disneyland. We were in line with imaginEars and had a blast. They pointed out all kinds of cool things and asked our opinions of the ride. It was awesome!

Ha - 30 minutes, tops. My Disney time is too valuable to wait any longer Smile

So here's a question to piggyback - if you, like me, just don't want to wait in long lines, what flexibility/alternatives do you employ? Forget about that ride? Pencil it in for another day? Just figure it's not worth it? Or is that just me?

I'm with you Lizzy...I figure it just isn't worth it and I can do it another day. ...but then again, we can prettymuch go to Disney when we want!

We have waited around an hour for both Toy Story and Soarin. That was when they both first opened. Now that we go more often we usually will not wait more than 30 minutes for a ride. We will grab a fastpass and if we get back to it fine and if not we will try to hit it on our next trip.

I don't recall the longest I've stood in line, but I can tell you the most annoying long line.

It was Test Track a few years back. Hubby and our friends were going to ride Mission: Space, which I don't do because of motion sickness issues. So I went over to Test Track and got in the single rider line. I think I spent 45 minutes to an hour in that line, surrounded by people who clearly were not single riders. And then when it came time to board, bunches of them told the cast members that they wanted to ride with whoever they were with - AND THE CAST MEMBERS LET THEM. Really burned my boat. (In my more recent visits, I noticed that they more strictly enforced the single rider requirement.)

Oh man, that would've made me so mad too! One time I was in the single rider line (with my friends) for RnRC. We knew we would get split up anyways. Well then group comes up (like 5 people) and tries to pass us and we looked at them like they were crazy. And one girl said "oh. We're with them." and pointed to some people ahead of us. And I was like "this is the single rider line. you won't ride together anyways, so you're basically just passing us and making us wait much longer." and so the people up ahead came back to them.

2 hours for the roger rabbit ride in DL. I LOVE that ride with a passion so while my mom was not happy about wasting time, I was quite okay with it.
