Your Top Ten

I tried to look back a few pages to see if y'all had done anything like this recently...I didn't see anything..but I figure if you have you'll do one of two things..ignore this thread...or answer it again because you heart food.

Yes. I've also noticed I have a "thing" for Top Ten List apparently. I just loved how much the Pixar list has varied. I wonder how much this one will!

But what are your top ten very favorite restaurants at Disney World? This can be a mix of Counter Service & Table Service..or even a snack cart..whatever you want..it's your list!

I have to agree with teacherdrama &dsoup...we need a build up..so..

10. Beirgarten (where else can you get a beer as big as your head?)
9. Olivias
8. Whispering Canyon
7. Grand Floridian (underrated!)
6. Earl of Sandwich
5. Boma
4. Ohana
3. Kona Cafe
2. Tangerine Cafe
1. Rose & Crown

Love the thread idea!

10. I don't know what the place is called, but the place outside the China pavilion that sells those DELICIOUS peach icee tea things I love so much.
9. Marrakesh
8. Coral Reef
7. The Wave
6. The Aloha Cart thing that sells Dole Whip!
5. Ohana (at least, it was before last trip)
4. Crystal Palace
3. Le Celier
2. Chefs de France
1. Boma

ETA -- See, I knew that would happen. I forgot Biergarten. That takes the place of Marrakesh (sorry Morocco). And yes, it's in a spot higher than the peach things because I simply can't leave that off the list.

3. Beaches and Cream

10. Flame Tree Barbecue (Best place to eat in DAK except for Picnic in the Park)
9. The Crystal Palace (Food is good, location suburb, characters secondary)
8. Boma (Love everything about it)
7. Columbia Harbour House (Great choices even other than the tuna fish)
6. Liberty Tree Tavern (Good food, service and atmosphere. What else is there?
5. Sanaa (Surprisingly diverse menu for a restaurant in a Disney resort)
4. Biergarten (You can't NOT have fun there)
3. Tokyo Dining (Try to coincide your ADR with Illuminations)
2. Hollywood Brown Derby (would be the best on property were it not for....)
1. Jiko (No explanation needed. It's my number one cause it's the best restaurant on property)

I intentionally left Le Cellier off my list, though it probably does deserve to be somewhere in the top ten. I think the hype sets up too high an expectation level, and for that reason it may disappoint.

This changes all the time but here's a try:

10.) ESPN Zone
9.) Whispering Canyon Cafe
8.) Citricos (My visits have been AMAZING, AMAZING and pretty good. If they were all like this first two this would be in the top 3 or 4)
7.) Marrakesh (I've only eaten there a few times, but I LOVED it)
6.) Crystal Palace (Food, so-so, but there's Eeyore and Tigger!)
5.) Jiko
4.) Boma
3.) Le Cellier (Great, but I hardly ever get to go and I had a bad experience there once!)
2.) Beaches and Cream
1.) Liberty Tree Tavern

Earl of Sandwich certainly is popular!!!

I'm also surprised to see so many Beirgarten's on the lists! I have always enjoyed myself there but (to me) it always seems like more people dislike it than like it. I love it!

Admin, I was reading about Via Napoli today...ohh my goodness..I know once I eat there this list will change to include that. The menu looks AH-mazing!

Ha - funny that Caitie and my list is so similar - except Boma is my favorite and she doesn't even have it on the top ten.

Thank you for making it a priority for me Smile

If eating at Boma is the biggest compromise I have to make in my marriage I think I'm doing pretty well!

Sorry Bali, I do not have many suggestions for the Brown Derby because the only thing I ever order there is the filet. I LOVE it!

I agree, I am tired of "giving Le Cellier a chance." We kept going, and going, and were always dissapointed. Haven't been back in about 2 years. Last time we were there they got our orders wrong & service was almost non-existent. Too bad. sad

I like that there are some pretty basic menu items on the buffet; chicken, salad, etc. And I mean, come on, how could you NOT love the atmosphere? It's so fun & makes you feel like you are actually in a German beer garden!

It's good and bad to hear this. I'm eager to not break my back to get into this restaurant, but it used to be so good -- sad to hear it's come down a notch.

We still liked it last time we went -- not as much as the first time a coupe of years ago, but still thought Le Cellier was very good.

Biergarten - I guess it depends on if you like that kind of food -- which I do. Smile

I love going with The Dave here because I tend to be kind of shy but he's that guy that will sit down at a table and go "Hi, I'm Dave..this is Bella..we're from South Carolina. I like football and she likes cupcakes..how do you feel about that?"

I think Le Cellier has all the signs of a restaurant that needs to raise its prices. They try to get too many people in and out and it's starting to show in the service and results. Sometimes it's still great, but sometimes it's not. Since they know they will book all their ADRs anyway it's hard to get the incentives right.

Brad,
Neither Mr Hub or I are very big fans of the grapefruit cake. He ordered in once, I only tasted his.

I haven't done much "adult" dining at the world. My parents did mostly character meals and fun places for us when I was younger and when I went recently with friends, it was our one friends first trip so we did mostly character and kid stuff for her! This trip in about 3 weeks my boyfriend and I are trying some different places and I am excited! That all being said....

10. Cinderella's royal table
9. yak & yeti
8. Ohana
7. Whispering Canyon
6. Raglan Road
5. Liberty Tree Tavern
4. San Angel Inn
3. Sci-fi dine ine
2. Hoop Dee Doo Review
1. Wolfgang Puck
