Registration for 2017 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend Opens April 26

The 2017 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend is scheduled for January 4-8, 2017 at the Walt Disney World Resort. Registration for the weekend's race events open April 26 at 12 p.m. ET at the runDisney website.

Fredison Costa Wins Third Consecutive Walt Disney World Marathon

For the third year in a row Brazilian runner Fredison Costa has won the Walt Disney World Marathon. His finish time was 2:33:24. Costa has won the Marathon five times in the last six years.

Running Industry Leaders Participate in New Forum During the 2016 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend

This weekend marks the 2016 Walt Disney World Marathon and the runDisney's first-ever State of the Sport and Race Director Series happened on January 7. The event featured nearly 100 of the "most highly-respected" names from the global running sector including race directors, media executives, and even former Olympic runners.

2014 Walt Disney World Marathon Sells Out

Less than four months after registration opened, the 2014 Walt Disney World Marathon has sold out, making it one of the fastest marathon sell-outs in runDisney history.

More than 26,000 registered runners are set to participate in the Disney Marathon Weekend on January 8-12, 2014, with 13,500 signed up to run the 26.2 miles that make up the marathon.
